pay attention that the Z750 is the first SE phone to run on the Java 8 platform
so if you happened to be around CTIA, take a chance to shoot a video of the UI |

Z750i is a world wide phone. First phone in the world to have QuadBand GSM and TriBand 3G, HSDPA flavor at that. Only other products to come close with the number of radios is the PDA phone HTC TyTn. Palm Treo 750 but that has no HSDPA, just regular UMTS.
WHAT the FRACK are YOU smoking? I want some! the z750 does NOT have TriBand 3G ... http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]emplate=pip3&zone=pp&pid=10874
HTC has plenty. and the BEAT the pants off the z750i. The z750i doesn't even HAVE HSDPA - stop spreading lies please. The z750i is a quality fashion phone at best, GOOD but not great.
BTW, the Treo 750 has the ABILITY to upgrade (software) to HSDPA currently its out for Europe or should be by now - but Palm will be sold shortly so I'd NEVER by a Palm.
Sorry for the harsh spanking but with posts like this I think that lipstick is toxic.
WOW ... WAIT A MINUTE HERE!!!! I JUST looked over the past 3 pages and EVERY LINK to this Z750 is dead. So I'm guessing SE just upgraded the hardware of that fashion phone.
TO: bodeh6 = I may just owe you an apology but I don't seem to find a link anywhere.
Uhhh update found a live link ... http://www.sonyericsson.com/s[....]3_1_1&zone=pc&lm=pc3&prid=7637
STILL though this phone is UGLY looks like lipstick or a makeup kit ... TriBand 3G for style? Only for the ladies? I'll pass until a more mature offering with 3G TriBand comes along.

I am just glad HSDPA has made an appearance at last and this phone is aimed squarely at our cousins over the pond
Hopefully, we can now look forward to more phones with high speed data.

I really hope that SE will soon announce also a nice candy bar style phone (shaped like K610i) which has the same excellent specifications as the clamshell Z750 has!
Z750 is so glossy (fingerprints, scracthes!).
And why SE changed the colour of YES and No key? Red for yes and green for no. It's a little bit confuseing. |

W580i is "Laura", right?
"Lindsay" will look like the same but without Walkman brand?

But what does this mean for the UI?! |

@thecoolsha
If the Z750 is using the new UI, does that mean that pick up/hang up buttons are going to be the norm? If so, bummer SE's turning into 'everybody else'. And they look ugly as well.
And I'll get onto updating the first post sooner or later. Give it time

One last thing. Here's a photo of the new UI:
(can't direct link it in from mobileburn)

Nokia style three 'softkey' choices. I'm guessing Sofia's new UI. And the call keys are the right colour in this photo. |

In fact, you guy are smoking really good frack...
How can you say that Z750 isn't HSDPA? On the link you posted, it is mentionned that this mobile is HSPDA!!!!
In fact, this phone is GSM quadriband (850/900/1800/1900) and is also triband highspeed, with compatibility all the networks: EDGE, 3G and 3G+ (which is the other name of HSDPA)
So, sorry to say that, but YOU guy was saying crap...

quoting the official announcement
"The Z750 is a tri-band HSDPA (850/1900/2100), Quad-band EDGE (850/900/1800/1900) phone and will be available in selected markets from Q3 2007. "
just because you don't know what is the implication of having triband HSDPA doesn't mean that they're non-existent
most of the world use 2.1Ghhz WCDMA/HSDPA, and the Americans chose to use some lower frequencies to save money (longer wave length wider diffraction), and more frequencies for national defence
Japan has started to use dualband WCDMA to increase coverage, they're looking into 1.7-1.9GHhz on top of the usual 2.1, NTT has even launched the extended network under "FOMA-plus area", so now they have 100% population coverage
