@korbin: dont ask me about my current setup bro  it sucks as i have a 6 yr old p4 1.4 ghz with 128MB of ram  , 80gb hdd with an old nvidia geforce fx5200. My parents have agreed to buy me a new rig as this one has started troubling me a lot and my brother likes doing some graphic designing as well  i'm hoping to get it by the end of this year InshAllah. I'll post my intended setup in my next post as i'm currently on my handset due to loadshedding 
@solja: it's the revenge of the nerds dude. Better hide in a corner and shake with terror leaving that aside, wazup?
Oh and does anyone of you guys have any experience with ptcl dsl? I've ordered a 1mbps connection so i would like to know what sort of experience i can expect from it.

start with a good rig man i mean a good casing and power supply like a cooler master it will really do wonders for your processor and display card ok on to the topic of the board
whats up with SE they are so caught up in cost saving and cheap materials that the old days are gone look at the built quality of K850 and the new C905 only C902 is built to last but that too doesn't have a flash ahhhhh i am still using my K790 i got 2 damn years ago 
i am lost on what to upgrade too

yeah im using PTCL's 1Mb connection and seriosly apart from issues with line quality there is no problem at all.
so jab bhi PTCL ki taraf se laganay ain to koshish kar k line lazmi change kara lena otherwise u will face problem. exchange se distant thora zada ho like 5KM to problem lazmi aye gi agar kam hai to u r good to go. distant zada honay ki sorat main 512 le lena. aik baat aur PTCL pehle low speed provide karta hai like they will first give u 256 lekin 5-10 days main proper upgrade ho k full speed aajati hai. dont know why they do this.
i get ~100KB/s speed from good servers.

WoW get a normal LCD screen dont go for the wide screen if your into games but its your choice what ever sute you
i use a 17" for now will just get a 21" second hand monitor later on
the 260 has DVI-I and HDTV ouput and i think its now comming with Far Cry 2 bundled

@korbin: i'm still not decided on whether i'm gonna get the 260. the 4870 1GB costs just as much and is quite a performer. plus the motherboard i've listed supports only crossfire not sli. so if i want i can plug in another 4870 a few months down the line for some serious firepower  what do you think? |

@ dj: a combo is better because it will allow you to use dvd's as well as write cd's

oh phir to koi masla nahi. agar copper wali line hoti to kafi problem karti os ko change karnay ka keh raha tha.

im using the 512 package and its working just fine..i think i still have the old wire..but either way it works justtt fine...just hope u dont run into any trouble cuz if u do..den their customer service is horrible.

Ahh is see the Asus board is a beauty check out its review at overclockersclub make sure u get all the goddies with it plus its got Firewire and it comes with S.T.A.L.K.E.R the game
i am still playing crysis and bioshock and just finished COD4 love that game looking forward to Warhead and the new Far Cry 2
i think 2 cards are better then 1 plus cost wise ATI is cheaper and u can start with 1 and later on upgread to 2 vdo cards as this board has 2 pci-e express 16x slots so ....
