I'm having some problems installing R1AA008...
However, near the end of the updating process, the progress bar speeds up and I get an error saying that "The update process failed", "error while executing script; please try again later".
I got this error 3 consecutive times....

Well, I had this error two times, on the second try when I got his error, I was like WTF ! and I just disconnected my phone from the cable. When I disconnected the phone, the error message on my laptop suddenly turned into "successfully installed.... " or something like that. WTF indeed !
Couldn't turn on until I removed the battery and reinserted it. Now I have the latest R1AA008 firmware. No apparent ill effects at all. Everything works fine, menus and pics load faster, and I have the hour glass thingy too. Volume has increased too
Oh, and I have the china firmware, the APAC 1 region, the one that didn't have the multiple character search in the phone book. Well now I have it added on and my camera still can be silenced ! Yay !
I'm from Malaysia btw.

TO everyone who is dying to update to new firmware of K750i
Dont do it coz the RIN035 is the best that u can get. R1AA008 is prob the worst and there is no major difference in the speed of the navigation and HISSING has started which was not there in R1N035.
Conclusion:
Dont update!! |

@disaya
This happened to me, just go through the process again, leave your phone connected and it should update, well it did for me

Just to confirm k750i Orange UK Branded is still R1N035. Just gone through the whole process and it gave me the same thing I already had.

^ don't listen to that. this firmware is very good and does a lot and fixes a lot, so update when you can. i updated from r1n035 two nights ago to this firmware and all that i can say is that this firmware is very good and i'm definatley happy with this until an even better one comes out, i've found no bugs, not one problem and also the mobile feels so much better, in navigation and doing things anywhere, also the media on my phone is great.

i have following reasons to believe so:
1. I personally never ever encountered the MS corruption/ transfer bug like most of other guys on R1N035.
2. I never ever heard any HISSING either in the speaker phone or in the ear piece when i was using R1N035, which i am currently hearing since update to R1AA008.
3. In my personal opinion, the navigation speed has not increased by leaps and bounds, offcourse u can disagree with me coz this is what i feel. You have all the right on earth to form your own opinion.
Moreover, there are guys who have posted on this vary forum that even the new firmware has the MS corruption/transfer bug.
In view of the above i came to the conclusion that R1N035 is far better than R1AA008.

@SE7
Your conclusion comes from broken hopes and dreams... Everytime SE releases an update to the firmware people hope for miracles... they dream of new features, faster firmware and so on. Then when they understand that there are no new cool games, super fast menus, new settings, they get dissapointed and start writing "WTF", "F*CK SE" and so on...
You got what you bought and the few glitches that came with the phone is what's getting fixed along all these updates - no new features...
I think it's obvious that the majority of people find R1AA008 a great improvement (bug fixes) over R1N035, so please, go brush your teaths instead of spreading your bad breath...
