I was just wondering can you use a normal 2G sim in the P990i or will i have to get a new 3G one and transfer my number over.

Also if i did transfer it over to a 3G sim would i still be able to use it in a 2G phone, thanks.

im surprised your asking that.

a 2G sim will work fine in the P990. you just wont be able to make video calls and other 3g services(obviously)

so are mphone meant to have stock tommorow then?

If so whats there delivery like are they next day like expansys so we could get them saturday.

Also say if i pre orderd from them now what are the chances of getting 1 from the first batch are all the pre orders taken does anyone know whose contatced them?

Also sorry about all the questions but do they allow returns like expansys as ive bought abut 4 phones from expansys in the past tried them out for 2 weeks and sent em back for a full refund....will mphone do the same?

Thanks

Well i ordered from them this morning after ringing them and they said i should have the phone with my next monday and that they have enough stock to fill the pre-orders and also other non pre-orders. Now whether or not they are telling truth is another matter but he seemed genuine enough and plus its cheaper there than it is on expansys. Ive now cancelled my pre-order with expansys as they werent willing to price match mphone.

As for the refund query, under the distance selling act i think you have up to 7 days to return the unit back but the retailer can charge and most do charge a re-stocking fee....cheeky buggers they are. But again best thing to do is to ring them as i dont think anyone here works for them and they may have a different return policy than expansys.

I have not ordered mine yet i will be buying it with my student loan when it comes through so that will be the end of September i think maybe sooner.

Going to wait for any firmware issues to be resolved, read a couple of reviews and wait for the price to come down before i take the plunge.

Hope we can expect lots and lots of reviews and pictures from everyone.

I don't want to bring the "TyTN or P990" discussion here but someone remind me why I'm getting a P990 at all?

Now I don't know all the functionality of the TyTN, but I have been reading the instruction manual of the P990 in an......ticipation and a few special ooohs and aaaahs jump to mind (over and above the much advertised features):
1. the lock screen button
2. when rejecting a call, having the option for a reminder to call the person back
3. when accepting emailed meeting requests and having P990 act just like outlook by placing the meeting in the calendar
4. the numerous ways in which you can do the same functions (flip open, closed and variations within
5. well I have only got to Calendar settings in the manual so will need to stop here
6. actually because it is the coolest phone out there!
