What is CDA?
My phone was bought from orange, when i check software info it says Orange_Gen at the bottom of the screen. does this mean it is branded?

how long has it been? mine was maybe 5 minutes? did you follow the steps? (power off, take out sim, leave off, hold down c, reconnect) |

Yes, I do have the sand hourglass. I had that before I upgraded (I've upgraded from R1N035)
So the sand hourglass is the same thing as egg-timer?! (I thought the egg-timer was something new and different than the sand hourglass I just had)

yep, did it all as was asked,
how long has what been?
the update took about 20mins, i did it about 30mins ago.
do you have R1AA008?
what network are you on?

hi there,
I updated my k750i two days ago with no problems reported in the process (German Settings, executred in france).
However my personal observation is, that the new FW release is not entirely without bugs:
1) It slows down the win explorer enormously and there still are transactions that it does not manage to complete, including copy-to-phonememory (but there is no obvious pattern when that happens)
2) when I move mp3 files from the mp3 directory into a folder, then the phone truncates the filenames after about 20 letters. very annoying with long filenames. Copying of mp3 files with long filenames directly to the directory via the explorer works.
3) Display problems: When a person calls, and the associated picture is shown, then there is a grey shade (semi-transparent field) over 80% of the screen (top right corner).
4) the phone is identified by the computer (win2k) and shown as a drive. However, it does not show up in the "release hardware" box.... damn.
Is anybody aware of similar problems?

I am getting message of " detection in progress, please do not touch the phone" for past half an hour and the bars are continously moving. I have yet to reach the next stage which is "Software update in progress". I have un-branded K750i. how long this stage lasted for u?

i have taken my phone off the cable and took battery out and then reinserted it, its working. But that flash message is still blinking on DETECTION IN PROGRESS< PL DO NOT TOUCH THE PHONE
how can i go back the the previous menu?

OMG sumbody help  decided to give d update 1 more try n hey it got passd d animation,downloaded sumat i selectd country n got to the green bars stayd der for 10mins n den... Wham. darkness a switch tripped in d fuse box in d house pc DEAD get a black screen den a blue one sayn disable hardware but i cant even get in safe mode or anytin i no dis aint exactly d rite place but it was se's fault me phone was connectd to server at that time. Duno what to do fones ok btw.

fixed it!!
I tried to close the SE window but it was not so i used task manager to close it and then re-loaded the update service, it again started from where i left and now i am on this menu "Please wait downloading phone software" so i guess its going smoothly now after this little glitch.

by the way, do u have any idea how much data is downloaded for this software at this stage? earlier was about 12MB
