Probably this way:

1. Point on a distan object.
2. Half press.
3. When focus is locked, move the camera to the candle.
4. Full press.

hmmm...i think this only works on proper digital cameras such as Cybershots etc...my guess would be that the candle is VERY close and the flame is too bright which renders the candle out of focus but the background is in focus...just an educated guess.

What Arne Anka said was correct.

Agree with Etaab on the size thing, i think we should make a rule that thumbnails or esato image sizes are only allowed on this post.

As much as its great is see the close up actual image size of the K750's pics, it does stretch the forum and makes scrolling a bit of a pain.

hey DJLG...in your pic with the candle, how did you get the background to focus while the candle remains blurry?

That was with the 'Macro' switched on.
Also, I love the natural haze around the candle.
Just how the eye sees it.

A macro shot of some ear rings, which isnt bad to say they're so small:

Tonights sunset, 9pm, very little noise for a night shot in the dark areas, unless you adjust the pictures gamma:

And umm, a 160x120 teddy..

This is the right answer. That small Depht of Focus effect (blured background) in this kind of cameras (most digital cameras also) can only be made using the macro function

@ red hot sheep, cheers man, i really hadnt expected it to turn out that good. Im so used to seeing lots of noise in the K700i's VGA pictures, i keep expecting it from the K750i. But there is none.
