That year is an anogram or what ever you call it, it can be read backwards as well, exactly the same way. This will repeat only in AD 6969

Good... But its actually 6009, got the concept right though
This riddle must be done IN YOUR HEAD and NOT using paper and a pen.
Take 1000 and add 40 to it. Now add another 1000.
Now add 30. And another 1000.
Now add 20. Now add another 1000. Now add 10.
What is the total?

Oops!! yes you are right 6009 is the earliest date, but 6969 is also right isn't it?
Is that 4100 wrong? Let me calculate it again, was in a hurry to beat every one else, lol ah well
Now another riddle
A farmer has one rock weighing 40 pounds. Using a balance scale and this rock, he can measure 40 pound units of wheat, which he sells at the market. One day, his neighbor comes by and borrows the rock. After a few days, the neighbor returns and tells the farmer that he has some bad news and some good news.
The bad news is that he dropped the 40 pound rock and it broke into four pieces. The good news, he says, is that the farmer can now use these four fragments to measure any amount from 1 to 40 pounds, to an accuracy of one pound. How much does each rock fragment weigh?
Example: If two of the pieces are 10 pounds and 20 pounds each then to weigh 30 pounds he can put that two on one side of the balance and get thirty pounds.

Aaha!!! I see that now. I think I would have fell for that if you 'asked' me that. but since I could see the figures written on the screen may be it was easy eventhough I did it fast and in mind. It is good one I must say. I am going to try it on a few friends .
