that's good news.
But now that i see so many bad reviews about the phone, and bugs popping up here and there, i'm starting to hesitate. I'll wait to see what SE announces at the 3GSM and if it's worth the wait, i'll consider waiting another few months. W960 won't be affordable until at least another 2-3 months anyway ... |

mmm yeah, knowing the usual time to market for SE, September is even optimistic.... hence my dilemma.
I'll just wait for a couple more days, see what they announce, decide if it's worth then make my move. I can easily wait another few weeks with my K750.

Why don't you get a P1 instead of the W960?
get an extra memory card and you've got the same about of memory.
Not much diffirence between the phones.
Stronger screen on the P1, nice and handy keyboard and hardly any bugs left.

hi, since the G900 announcement, i think i just found exactly what i was looking for. The phone looks better designed than the W960 (mainly thanks to a D-pad at last!), and won't have to wait for too long (Q2 release).
I tried the P1 but don't like the keyboard, also the screen is recessed, which makes it hard to use without the stylus (eg. touching the task manager icon with the finger is next to impossible).
So i wanted a SE smartphone with normal keypad, flush screen and decent cam, the G900 seems to have it all and i'll be happy to wait. Glad i did not go for the W960 in the end.

i found it easy to work with a P1, you just need to have abit of nails to navigate with your finger.
According to the samsung fan website aka mobile review the G900 would be priced arround 350 and come out near the end of june.
I myself like the model quite alot, to bad it misses GPS.

Yup, too bad for that one. Though I can live without it. I only mostly use GPS in car and for that i've got a Tomtom that works just fine.
Could have had HSDPA too (not that it's so useful here in Belgium, but planning on keeping the one for a few years, i'd like it to have good connectivity features for when they'll become necessary).
Hope it'll come in other colors, though. Don't like the dark brown and red too much. |

i like the red one. but its not a phone aimed at design.
If you need a phone to keep your self upto date for more then a year you'll need to buy a high end phone, probably a smartphone if you want 2years or something.

i think the G900 will be high end enough for me. I tend to keep my phones for a long time and decide to upgrade when there are significant advantages in doing so, in terms of connectivity, UI ergonomics, display quality, etc. G900 seems to do it for me.
My current phone is the K750 which i bought like 3 years ago and until now i could justify keeping it as it produces goods pics, and sound quality is fair enough for my purpose. But the joystick is dying on me, so upgrade time has come.
Anyway, hope they'll add a couple more colors once the phone is out or in the couple of months thereafter. |

if they add a few more colors you'll have to wait a few months more.

...noted! Yes, they always release a limited number of colours, and then throw in a few more depending on the handset's success in market. If i can't wait, i'll get the red G900, looks classy enough. |
