Games & Gadgets Show at the Megamall until tomorrow. Too many gadgets, too little time. Then, Gun Show on June 2005. Transhow is next. Happy New Year! |

Nice to know that we still have free wi-fi hotspots around Metro Manila. The hottest hotspot is probably the one near Ch2. boysaint, you should know the place. Do we still have time for Games & Gadgets? |

G17,
oppsss looks like we dont have time for that anymore! sorry. like what you said, too many activities, too many gadgets, too much work, SO LITTLE TIME! but yes, that Games and Gadgets expo in MegaMall sounds fun. we can see the upcoming new toys for us.
yes i've heard of that new hotspot that you're talking about. but last time i have inquired ....we buy pre-paid cards for access. anyway, lets plan a gimik over there.
and hey ....buti ka pa may PTT ka na daw! so- when shall we shoot? (using your unit, hahahah! as you know,as of now i'm still waiting for the release of my own PTT.) |

i was given PTT for my pistols only but not for my long arms, not even for my shotguns! We can rock but not roll.
We should invite lenymaganda so we could get free access to Cubao shooting range. btw, hotspot at the Podium is no longer free either, hot but not free.

Hi guys, how's the ventilation at the Northstar range? Last time I was there I didn't feel too well after inhaling all that smoke There's a three gun(Rifle, pistol and shotgun) match in Tierra del Fuego firing range in Splendido Tagaytay on Feb. 11-12 in case you're interested.
Yup, we should stock up on those DVD's as their pirating days are numbered... or is it Do you think they have the manpower to apprehend even the buyers? After Virra Mall was shut down, a lot of them moved there. Oh well, if they can't sell in fixed stands they'll probably just do what they did before, take it to the streets and go house to house roving around with their bags full of the stuff.
Went ahead and bought that 20D and I'm having a blast with it. In addition to the 18-55mm kit lens that comes with it I also got a 75-300mm Telezoom. This is one really addictive hobby.

aha! doc, so thats why you weren't showing up on this forum for a while! you were shooting with something-else for a while! congratulations on the acquisition of the canon.
the ventilation there remains the same. you just have to have the patience. but in a way it simulates you well on some sort of 'unfavorable condition' training. after sometime in luxurious ranges i guess i have to go on hard sometimes. not like when we usually get pampered by push-button targets, aircon environment or fresh air range, people who carry our stuff around the range, and other ameneities from luxurious ranges.
and the DVDs ....there's a scare going around the internet that says even data discs may be confiscated at random inspection, due to ignorance of the guys ordered to apprehend. it seems they don't know that we also store our digital photo-images on DVDs. oh well.... |

The Northstar ventilation seems okey, it's the reloaded rounds' gunpowder that's giving us problem, heheh. Even the best ventilating fan wont be able to get the smoke out of the room properly. Avoid that range if there is an on-going target practice of security guards. So much smoke, so many inexperienced shooters, too dangerous. Better to bring your own ammo, too. Northstar does not want to increase bullet prices so they use charcoal instead. nyeheheh.
boysaint - hold on to your XDA2 and your cash, O2 is coming out with the real XDA3!!! The XDA2S is interim. |

You also wouldn't want to go there when there are Asian tourists trying out the rental guns. They're the epitome of unsafe gun handling and are too ignorant or excited to care. Sometimes there are just too many of them there that the watchful range officers can miss a safety violation here and there. Shoot safe guys. |
