Honestly after all speculation i do not believe for a second that it will have double layer sensor. Im inclined thto believe that is reserved for next iPhone.

Many are confusing double noise reduction for double layer but that has nothing to do with each other. Camera island is too big this time around which suggest sensors inside are big as well. Xperia will not cram in giant double layer sensor inside 1 series, that is most likely reserved for next pro after iPhone already makes a debut. My bet is that the sensor inside 1V is some moded version of current iPhone main camera sensor.

Latest rumors say iphone is gonna keep 803 this year, only more to 903 for 16 pro max. Xperia can easily be used to showcase SS tech. Also would be opportunity to sell more devices. Ppl are obsessed with photos. Many do not even care about rest of the phone anymore. In the end, I bet were are gonna see 903 for iphone, 802 for honor/huawei, 989 successor for xiaomi/oppo/vivo, successor of 766 for realme/one plus. Then in 2025 sony asks for copy of 903 while everybody will be using new tech by 2024.

Pretty much it's gonna go down like that. Xperia should be showcase brand for Sonys technology but Sony's so damn fragmented they cannot even get their own sensors for manufactured price. Anyway I wish there is a dual layer sensor inside 1V but again camera bump is so tall and thick and the whole point of dual layer for mobile is to keep the sensor tiny to save space. 1V most likely its going to debut the largest mobile sensor ever put in Xperia. Maybe just maybe they give periscope sensor dual layer treatment.

Xperia Pro-II / Ultra use Ltpo
it's from boe, Ltpo 3.0 , 6.95"

i don't know 1 V

Ltpo only effective for native 120hz
Xperia 1V is 60 + 60 motion blur red
it's a 60hz panel
afaik, samsung doesn't support producing 4k Ltpo 60hz

apparently xperia 1 V used the smaller version of upcoming imx 903 . .
can be worthy opponent for hp2

unfortunately their algorithm isn't good enough, historically
maybe just win in raw

but who knows?
1V will be their anniversary, i may have higher expectations

Quadbayer .. 🤮

Anyway, video makes clear that is not usual QB.
Also, it would not make sense to call "next gen" if it was something already being used.
I hope it is not just for the 24mm.

Has anyone noticed back panel has texture? Play video 0.25x speed and see when they show T* logo. I hope it is not plastic leather like chinese phones.

Well i was dead Wrong. Here is my next prediction: next pro will not have dual layer 1.2 sensor and neither will be able to record RAW video via hdmi off some sony video camera

There we go.

If they make new Pro, it is based on 1.
Pro is equal to 1ii.

If they give new tech to 1v, obviously next pro-i gets as well.

Yes, with dual layer sensor, the full well capacity is near 1 inch. The next sensors will all come with dual layer, next generation of 1 inch with dual layer will be a beast.

Since I was wrong with the prediction maybe I get wrong with the prediction of next PRO-I and we do get it with dual layer 1/1.2 or bigger sensor and we do get the option to record RAW video off Sony FX cameras via HDMI and we do get that 7" 4K screen

I have only noticed now because sony shows it pretty close. There is nothing anywhere about the other devices. 10v and 1v are not the only ones already certified. I have seen claims that 5v to show up now too.
