What do they wish? To miss SD-card slot, FM radio, camera button, a high res camera, pedometer and other sensors, no waterproofing and match more?
A smartphone is not defined only by processor, RAM and display. They are way more facts and details to be considered.
Xiaomi is just a bubble about to burst at some point. Good Chinese phones are NOT cheap, they have similar prices with the other makers. |

As MWC gets ever closer I'm wondering what the USP will be on the Z4. Here is the evolution of features either added to the new flagship or carried on from the previous.
Z - IP rating.
Z1 - IP rating, larger than average camera sensor.
Z2 - IP rating, larger than average camera sensor, front facing speakers and DNC.
Z3 - IP rating, larger than average camera sensor, front facing speakers, DNC and remote play.
Z4 - IP rating, larger than average camera sensor, front facing speakers, DNC, remote play and ????????????
I really hope that it's the S-Master digital amp and cinematic 4K video recording.

I didn't mean the resoulution, but the frame rate. AFAIK cinematic 4k is 4096 x 2160 @ 60p |

^ The one-Plus One is capable of DCI 4K but at 24fps and that has the SD801.

Not USP's but would be at front on Android: Qi charging (makes so much sense on waterproofed devices and could provide flap or "plug" so magnetic port could be smoothed out), NFC (which got already ) combined with Fingerprint scanner (hope they cam implement this better than Samsung, this is the year of touch pay I think. And please please sort out camera algorithms (can't think what else it can be), Sony should by rights have had the best camera and even kicked Nokia whilst they were sinking - I just can't understand it. All of those together in a device with slightly shorter top and bottom bezels or maybe slightly bigger screen would be pretty unusually comprehensive package on Android. The devices are beautiful and have been for 18 months it's just been the obvious omissions / faults which have hindered and these have been getting ever fewer. Just round it off.
Or left field make the camera unit detachable (with lock  ) taking cue from the QX's
Suddenly interested in Sony again as may be coming back |

I heard interesting rumor about sony's mobile business sale. This is from my friend who told me about sd810,
but he said he is not sure about this rumor.
Sofbank want to buy sony's mobile business but they don't want to buy whole business.
They just want to buy mobile business in Japan. They want to make softbank exclusive local phone brand.
If sony decide to sell mobile division to Softbank, they should sell oversee mobile business seperately.
And as you know sony's creative director who charged in product planning moved to sony few months ago.
I think he may related to this news, but I don't know

i agree that one of sony's problems is that there is not really "one sony" like kaz want people to think. it's a pity. i hope sony mobile brand stays and they outdo themselves and begin to make profit soon. |

BTW: Looking at recent handsets announced/rumored specs the main difference between 2014 and 2015 major flagships is the 64bit soc. Like XJ already said I hope that Sony has something "special" to offer like Asus did with optical zoom.
