I use GSam Battery Monitor. Also install CPU Spy and see how much time it stays in Deep Sleep.

Here's my battery usage graph

the upward movement was due to me connecting the phone to the PC and transferring files

Seems your device awakes often and when it does, the screen seems to be activated as well. Can't be good for the battery life.

I have noticed that the OS on Xperia P seems to consume most of the power, like 35-65% for no apparent reason. On other devices like Xperia V, it only consumes 2-3%. It does not go into deep sleep either to often. Right now min has been running at max speed for around 2h and it has been like 3h since last charge. Seems like there is something preventing the device from going into deep sleep.

Actually I have no big issues with the battery if you look at my snapshots here (with my usage I can get around 3-5 days on a single charge).

However, if the OS behaved better I could probably get even more. There clearly is some bug here. Sony support said their provided whether widget for instance may cause this kind of problem, but I don't use it.

Thank you for that app! On my P the kernel takes most of the battery - but what can i do to lower this part? nothing i think...
