As far as I know, turning your phone into a wifi hotspot is coming with android 2.2 so probably wont be able to do that for a very long time knowing sony ericsson, if ever!

Hey All

Just ordered a UK vodafone mini for delivery tomorrow - going to give it a test for 7 days as you get 7 days grace on phones ordered online/over the phone from their corporate people.

Anyone tried the google maps navigation on this yet, know google maps works ok but im interested in the turn by turn sat nav, navigation bit.

Im hoping with a bit of careful usage, and few of the battery apps (juice defender and helix) to get 4 days outta the phone with lowish usage - we shall see.

It seems there is zoom in the camera. Look at this - http://blogs.sonyericsson.com[....]e-finger-zoom-tutorial-part-3/

The blog post starts with the following sentence:
Welcome to the third part of the Android tutorial on how to make your own zoom control like the one used in Sony Ericsson X10 Mini in the Camera and Album applications.

The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand...

I think that blog is just referring to the zoom you can use for pictures that have already been taken, as shown in the video. I thought hihihans wanted to know if the phone lets you zoom in or out when taking a photo. Apologies if that is not the case.

The phone camera cannot zoom in before taking a picture

whereas when viewing a previously taken picture you can zoom in

i believe he was talking about zooming in to a distant object before taking a picture

on another note has anyone tried any zoom applications to try and get zoom on the camera

Finally ! I received my X10 mini yesterday (the white one, including the lime green and pink cover) - and I'm totally blown away. It's so cute - but still so powerful.

Yes - Screen size is small, but it's still sufficient for occasional web browsing. Reading email etc. is no issue at all. I'm totally satisfied with my choice.

The UI is really, really well designed. I'm still exploring the phone and downloaded a lot of apps already (and threw most of them away after one try).

Speaking of ebay I can't understand why so many people are paying more for the X10 mini there than it would cost for an unlocked phone from somewhere like phones4u. I'd be a bit wary of buying from ebay incase Sony Ericsson decided not to honour warranty if a fault developed...

Hi everybody

I've bought mine there's one week and ... I really LLOOVVEE it . It's my first smartphone and so I discover android too. It's an very good OS and the phone is wonderfull : fast, nice, SMALL (the most important for me) and easy to use. The 2 things I regret are : bluetooth file transfer don't work and portrait mode for SMS (no landscape).
