Why do you need a leak? Why can't you just wait until MWC? lol

Because holding a leak for weeks make people extremely restless (Pun somewhat intended)

Yes, but a statement like that is hardly conveying all the facts.

Things ARE getting better. Losses are lesser than in Q3. Sales and margins are up and so is the average price per handset (Which means more high end handsets are selling). This quarter had to factor in some significant restructuring charges thanks to some facilities being closed. If that's the last of it, these numbers actually point to a recovery and possibly a return to black this year.

Agreed, nonetheless you've to see they "only" sold 500.000 units more than in q3 (hope I got the numbers right, am on my phone now) although xmas was a se stronghold so far. Net income is -167m, was -164m last q. Sure there are the restructuring cost, 150m? But they can't highlight better sales due to more attractive portfolio, it was basically the xmas sales.

The only items that sold were the W995,Aino,satio and the Yari. I am sure with the onset of a fw more handsets the situation would be better. The vivaz looks sweet and so does the X10. Lets see what the others bring to the mix.The kanna should be good too.

Yep, you've pretty much got the gist of it. I don't think it was just the X-mas effect though. Media drama aside, both the Satio and the Aino have sold really well and have very good brand recognition on the streets; at least here. Lay people recognize the Aino name and shape a lot more than say, the W995, which in its own right sold well. The huge marketing campaign and the R&D on the handsets themselves gladly haven't gone to waste.

That said, there needs to be a catalyst that can transform this renewed interest into money in the bank, not just by numbers but also with healthy, yet justifiable margins. The Satio isn't it and the Vivaz is simply not high-end enough to do this. The X10 however is and there's every chance that this is the "Hero product" that will bring SE back to normalcy.

@mreman4k

Because the phone isn't really guaranteed that it will show up at MWC. Besides, SE's strategy is to leak phones to keep 'interest alive' so why not show off on this one.

Trying your luck at showing you have a sense of humour?

Haha I most definitely do! I just don't show the funny side often.

You should show that side more often cause you tend to come across as being pissed off most the time

Seriously though, I am really looking forward to 'Abelin' cause my P1 has served and continues to serve me extremely well even though it has become slow by today's standards. Se just needs to be more SE-ish in design and not Nokia-ish. I want that sex appeal of the X1, X2, X10, Satio and even the P1 on 'Abelin' cause it will be what I need on a phone. The P1 was a one of its kind with that QWERTY+Touchscreen combo and it works brilliantly.

I really hope they don't give a Faith lookalike cause I will puke. Nokia would hev been proud of Faith's design. I also find the Vivaz ugly which makes me think they have lost their damn minds in that design department!

LMAO! That's not the impression I get, I think synn's humour comes across a bit dry but I wouldn't say he comes across as pissed off!
