K850i vs N95 pic quality |

but no firmware/driver can improve the crap lens of k850 which leads to all the purple fringing. The noise of K850 photo does not contribute to more details as clearly shown in many of comparison pictures I have posted. You can alter the k850i cam driver to reduce the noise but the end result will still be worse (i.e. less detail and more blurry) than N95. This is due to physical limitation of the smaller lens size of K850. Well, SE had many of months to improve the cam driver but still quality of photo did not improve.

GSMArena also reviewed K800 and mentioned the purple fringing thing on it's outdoor shots, but as of now i can hardly see any purple fringing thing appearing on images taken by a K800 that have new cam drivers/updates even K810 that shares the same lens type with K800 proved to have no more purple fringing if you look at GSMArena's samples so we can build a conclusion that K850 updates/ cam driver mods will be able to manage this too

The point is that you have to wait for someone to come out with a better cam driver which may or may not come. As it stands, K850 cam is just mediocre.
btw: where did GSMarena specifically mention that K800 is marred by purple fringing? |

N95's story is similar to that also, i have to admit N95 images atm were not as oversaturate/oversharp as it was before. but the issue still persist even with it's number of firmware revisions since released.

image quality or capabilities?

N73 vs K800 vs KG920

yes it is.....it feels realy cheap when you use it..
N95 Black(8GB) looks (and hopefully) feels a lot better........
no way in hell i change my k850 to a N95(original).....
N81 is they only Nokia phones i realy like.....when i tried N81, it felt much more robust then N95...the slide was much better,
(N95 slide is a joke...people all over the world using TAPE to fix the slide on N95...he he..
here you have the TAPE GUIDE..(how do you tape your 700 EURO phone...ha ha ha).

yeah..I think you would find easier to put up with K850 with its dust inside the lens, fingerprints, creaking case, stuck lens cover, missing sms and of course the misfiring of the flash.

I believe we're comparing N95 and K850 Not N73

K850 dust inside lens? K850 lens casing is fully protected from dust, no opened surfaces that could allow dust to come inside, otherwise you saw a K850 users removed the glass surface protection for lens
fingerprints? all shiny phones are fingerprint prone, even N95's display, camera lens, and the metallic portion on the navigation keys are fingerprint prone, this is an inevitable flaw of having glossy surface matey anyway glossy surface gives elegance especially when clean
creaky case? where did you find that impression matey? have you held a K850?
missing sms and of course the misfiring of the flash.
^^--> Tha could be caused by some bugs inside the firmware and could be fixed soon. and not all K850 users experiences that and once the issue has been fixed where will the N95 stand a chance to beat K850's nightshot

@razec
obviously you are oblivious to what is going on with many K850 owners and the problems they faced. (hint: take a look at thread here in esato and other sites ). I think no matter what I say, you will still live in your own cocoon .

most of the so called misfired flash is because of the ... users !
the cybershot driver will darken the image with flash in Auto mode (even if flash is fired at the right time)
if you choose the scene mode to twilight portrait the you will see the amazing power of the xenon flash.
that was what i have tested with K800 , K810 , and obviously K850 |
