Judging by the picture on the box, the voda branding is still harsh as ever. Here's to hoping you can switch the theme and lose the icons, eh? |

thanks very much for the pics so-far!!!
The phone casing branding is acceptable in my book.
I hope that the UI isnt the same design as on the box cover though....

You can see how heavy the branding is just from the image of it on the box. Why don't Vodafone just leave it alone. |

actually, the more i think about it, the picture of the ui on the box is just one of the stock simulated screens that they used for all their SE phones...

You'll be able to debrand them in the near future anyway Least they haven't change any of the buttons like they did the K800, was stupid to debrand that but I'll definately be debranding mine asap

That's what I think too. The themes will be changable anyway. My guess is that the worst thing will be having a Vodafone link in the first position on the menu. I can cope with it whatever..

What's your point? You've basically confirmed it! If they use it on all their SE phones, then surely they're gonna use it on this one as well!
When you think about it, it's sorta counter-productive that they even do it at all. People are less likely to buy it if it's full of nasty branding. I guess thats why O2 leave their phones relatively stock. |

The point is that its a SIMULATED screen for the purposes of the picture on the box, and bears no resemblance to the actual screen used on the product.
not even the k800i VF branding was anywhere near like that. The picture on the box looks like the initial k750's before they shipped them unbranded..

The only branding I can see on the casing is the Vodafone name and logo on the back which you can see in my photo. It's distasteful. I haven't looked at the UI yet so take it easy. I'll look when it's fully charged in a couple of hours.

the menu icons are usually the same as what they are on the voda box..... so i expect the icons to be the same as pictured on ricky's box, but of course a different theme installed.......
