Regarding the crashes some people experience in SMP, Lisa has posted this on My-Symbian.

Yes, SMP 1.50 hangs if the Fixed or Detailed icon is selected, and the phone is actively used while it is charged. A fix will be released on about Wednesday.

@Lisa
since you r planing for a new version may i demand to if we can have 'version of UIQ' and 'Symbian OS' displayed under system tab.
i wud also like to mention that after loading SMP new version my device automatically rebooted immediately after clicking on the SMP icon. My phone has not rebooted since long and today was the 6th upday. I don't know if this has got any link with SMP but after that i have n't noticed any thing till now. |

if we can have 'version of UIQ' and 'Symbian OS' displayed under system tab It's a good idea, but unfortunately we don't know about any system function that returns those values.
my device automatically rebooted immediately after clicking on the SMP icon This sounds like another example of the mysterious "system conflict" that happens time by time (but rarely on well-behaving phones) - but please report if you find any reproducible problem with SMP.

Thanks Lisa, I've got it installed in both my M600 and P990 and everything seems to be working even when charging. |

Still there is a problem with the battery charge animation in 1.51. Sometimes the animation remains there after disconnecting the charger. The only way to stop it is to restart SMP. The problem is already corrected and the fix will be included in the next release.

@Lisa
Kindly check this Lisa- in FO mode after clicking on the smp icon (detailed) and choosing end all task and then clicking on reclaim memory from POPUP menu of smp automatically brings the Dial pad or Call Log menu on the screen. This happens every time i tried doing the task from POPUP. But if i do the same task within the smp program interface this doesn't happen. It occers only when i do it through POP Up menu. Kindly check this if am the only lucky choosen one or this is happening to others too |

clicking on reclaim memory from POPUP menu of smp automatically brings the Dial pad or Call Log menu on the screen That is normal (so you are not the lucky only one). It happens because the Reclaim memory command (when executed at Level 3) closes all running tasks, including the one in foreground, so in the end you see some view of the Phone application, which is never closed.
