Actually, the K790i DOES have the menu bug. I had to really play around with it though.

I just type the letters when I'm in my phonebook and it does something similar to a slightly slower incremental search. I don't think there is a menu option for it, but there is no need for one.

Yeh thats the problem, i cant do that on my k800i... it only allows to type a single letter...

@Daisun

it only means that your firmware doesnt allow multi-character search...
some asian firmwares really has that characteristic.

if you want, you can change firmwares... of course via third party softwares.
which is again... risks are involved.

Each firmware revision listed below contains the fixes listed against that revision plus the fixes of all the firmwares below that entry.

R1CF001
- T-Mobile specific release.
- Released on Wotan Server 8/8/06.

...

It seems that the R1CF001 is not a T-Mobile specific firmware. I have absolutely no branding and it says GENERIC on my phone (1 week old).

So this must mean that the current batch of k800i's are shipping with the new firmware. So it can only be a matter of time before it is released on SEUS.

I can't wait to update via SEUS. Anyway, SEUS always says that mine is the latest..no option to continue updating. Is that normal?

I doubt there will be much change. Seems like the drivers that run the MP3 on the K790i are the same as the K750i's so far. Can't wait till FAR Manager has support for CID49.

I will be interested to learn of any improvements in R1CF001, once enough people have re-flashed using Wotanserver.

As for the menu selection bug, ie. pressing a # and returning, it doesn't happen to me.
R1CC003.

I'm using R1CB001. After posting I played around with it a little more and can report that:

From the menu, when using the number keys to access options, and then returning by pressing the back key, the title will still read as 'Messaging' for the following options:

- Music Player (6)
- File Manager (7)
- Contacts (8), and
- Call List (#)

And on a separate bug - it's funny, but for some reason now when in the File manager, pressing keys won't bring up the alphabetical search, nor correspond with a folder.

I would also like to bring to the table: Noise in the Media Player

For me, heard only using HPM-70 headphones - pops and clicks between tracks, when the volume performs it's 'fade up/fade down' trick, excess clicks can be heard. The quality of audio during playback seems to be quick good, however.

And for interests sake: When I hook my K800 up to my car stereo, after a period of inactivity (say 30 seconds of no music, or calls) what I can only describe as a loud 'network searching' noise comes through the speakers.

It's at a regular beat, but what interests me most is that playing and exiting the media player will cause the noise to stop (for another 30 seconds or so). Strange! ...anyone?

Had my k800i last week R1CB CDA singapore

Please verify and add to your first page bug list:

- video mode during recording a green line at the side of screen.
- Small/large clock in 24HOUR time format
- Sometimes thumbnail of video doesnt appear
- i always have a sound problem, my click/tone sound of keypad frequently goes off / was gone. this also affects my message tone, cant playback video, cant play sound files (i encounter this when creating/recving/sending(notsure which) mms)
- Preview MMS with video doesnt play the sound (frequently occur/needs rebooting of fone)
- battery consumption only 24hours? mms usage and text only. about 5min calls (is this bug? or batt prob, or just normal?)
- zoom in on camera was on lower button unlike my w800i which is same as increasing the volume. (did they change it for reason?)
- cant remember where but i found a garbled background of help/info message.
- multitap fast typing problem sometimes letters were not pressed
- phonebook doesnt show the icon symbol.. (:-) / etc. ... )
- mms on outbox that is being send on a dead signal doesnt continue when signal comes (restarting the fone will continue sending)
- turning on my bluetooth on shortcut sometimes fails to load/ or the icon just doesnt show up?..

ADD on wish list
- flashlight
- new/customizable skin for music player (default seems very pale/bare)
- capture function for 2nd camera is missing
- video size setting (need more for mms sending the 128x96 was gone)
- "Best PIC" setting should have timer gap interval settings. (This is just like the burst mode of my w800.. not so good add ons unless they add interval settings)
- can replace videocall with pix.. y not add .3gp replacing
- flash theme / menu support
- turning off sent items.
- log for calls (missed call details.. time stamp on all missedcall of 1contact)

**Do you guys also experience having a hardtime to remove the battery cover?? grrrrrrr

- flashlight

(You know that the flash is Xenon and can not be utilized as a flashliight). There is an app invented by a poster here on Esato that will turn on the red LED as a flashlight.
