@funks
Can you summarise the client used in your page? Maybe we will find something new... |

For you service provider display, don't worry about it. It should be because voicestream and T-mobile share their tower in your region...You phone won't stick on your provider anymore because it is flashed by ericsclient, which will totally change or remove the profile in your phone. Don't worry about it anymore if the RF is working.

Ok as requested by a few people here are the links where I found everything I needed to flash my phone.
http://www.sevenfire.net/T68.html
Sevenfire's site where most of the info is, this is where I got the firmware files, also there is a pdf of the instructions, I highly recommend you read them and don't flash without knowing every last detail.
http://www.unlocking.co.uk
Here is where I bought my logs, there is a link for the ericsclient on there too. I highly recommend them after they got their email working they did all they could to help me.
Oh and I take no responsiblity for you making a very expensive paper wait if you mess up, my advice is don't attempt this if you have any doubts. I'll try to test bluetooth tomorrow if I can I'll post results then. |

Oh I wasn't worried about a thing. Just curious if that was dependent on the sim card or just the network? I'm thinking sim but if it was why would a voicestream sim show t-mobile? But I am getting much better Rx/Tx with R5D007 |

VoiceStream is T-Mobile (at least their new name). |

Hey guys, just an update:
AT&T T68i: orig. R3B fw, orig. R6A hrdwr. rev.
flashed to: EU R5D007
Results: All systems GO!!!
-Just sent vcard to pc..
-Just sent 6 theme files from PC to phone...
-Used PC and SE DialUp Networking to connect to Cingular GPRS network (although still can't load any sites..another thread maybe..)
Conclusion:(?): Should only recommend users to flash only R6B T68i's to R5D or later..still skeptical on R5C...
That's it for now...
Oh, virtualdynamix is the log credit seller of choice for this user from now on...got stuck with another source and called them..they got me another credit right over the phone, and since I was at a job site, I couldn't pay them until later that evening..(which I did, right virtualdynamix?). So, just contact them and you all will be very happy..they can even use the same server as logosunlimited so that your unlocker software labeled THAI will still work seemlessly. Virtualdynamix, what's your MSN Messenger handle? I can't seem to get you on there? |

Oh trust me funks I know that. The first gsm we had in my area was a little company called Digiph PCS, then Powertel bought them out. Next Voicestream merged with Powertel. And finally T-mobile bought Voicestream. Well off to town, see if I can test my bluetooth. |

Hmmm one log down with Unlocking for no apparent reason. I did buy two just in case, but as I was reading my current avr (just as a precaution) it came up with a "boot mode error" and then dropped a log !!
I will try and get this back coz i'm sure it wasn't my fault, everythng was going swimingly up till that point

Onslo,
I am very interested in your results. I have similar h/w and s/w. I have R1A week 52 2001 (that has to be the oldest)! and R2B s/w (upgraded by SE at MN during a servicing). Please post your results. I was all ready to upgrade 3 weeks ago until I started reading about all the problems. Thanks!

I can second Sung (VirtualDynamix) and logs, talked to him last night via ICQ and he got me the logs right away. He is using the Thai server which doesn't have the same problem as Unlocking.co.uk's main server..
I had a weird problem with the Thai client (unlocking) though, when I flashed the phone, it went ahead and used up two logs instead of one like before (the phone wasn't disconnected).

most of them are using 6.52 (either from LVWireless, Unlocking, or Unlocking's Thai Server). |

Great another statistic..
All the R6A's I've seen flashed to R5D007 worked..
AT&T R6B's on the other hand had some BT failure when flashed to R5D007..
(Me Personally, and VirtualDynamix have had a couple with bt failure)
AT&T R6B's flashed -> AT&T R5C001 (FW Source was R6B hardware) works fine though as a few of us who tried it reports that it does indeed work (Allen7, Me) and BT is operational.
AT&T R6A -> AT&T R5C001 (FW Source was R6B hardware) seems to end up with BLUETOOTH failure..

The big question is will we ever find a fix for those bluetooth's who are not discoverable anymore? I'm beginning to doubt it....

Hmmm, "R6D" is the hardware REV right? (first time I heard about an R6D).
The software is "R3A???"
Is this a non-branded T68i? You tested bluetooth right?
