hehe, It did the same thing for me as well. Incredible view on how any user would use it daily. Plus shows the need for a built in keyboard that can actually be used - although using 2 fingers in less than 2 seconds for 30 words isnt accurate.
I want to be able to use the WiFi to continue downloads within Opera browser or any browser for that matter. I also would like the ability to continue a phone call over a WiFi connection; preferably natively or through a nice app that you just setup and it just runs in the background when a solid WiFi connection is made (as opposed to hog memory right from bootup). |

hideous to you but a godsend to others. There is a work around for directional navigation with using the alt key and certain keys that are marked with it - remember the 5 way jog dial is gone so you may wanna keep the numerical keypad around. |

I have some questins about the new P990:
1). Does it have the same graphics procesor as the W900i?
2). Can it record 320x240 videos at 30fps?
3). Can you watch movies on this phone with the help of some third-party applications? When is it exactly going to be released? |

Will just have to wait and see, but just like everybody else I think that the release date for this device is set too late.... . I whould choose the p990i over the w900i because firstly of the software, second because of the lens cover and third because of the touch-screen. This device just has absolutly everithing that one would need. Its outstanding but a shame that it programed to be released so late. VERY LATE!!! if u ask me. |

If they'd have announced it at the start of March next year, and released it at the end of March, you wouldnt be saying that.
People just think a phone is old because when a company announces it early, it gives them too much time to think about the damn thing without owning it.

Not only that, also only has the slow (old) wifi standard and even worse no EDGE ! If you don't want/don't have coveriege/too expensive 3G,one will have to resort to the old GPRS ! By next year even the slow Europeans will have EDGE.Also the speed will be a problem. The more modern Pda's use twice as fast cpu's !

Mario, nobody in europe cares about edge. Nobody, ok? It's 3G all the way here, there's not even a price difference, so why would we want to use edge? As for the wifi and the processor, they both strike the best balance of performance and power efficiency that people not only want but need in a phone - the same principle that made the P800, P900, and P910 such a sucess before it. It's not about squaring up to modern PDA's on processor terms, it's about providing the same functionality in a more convenient, more pocketable, and more efficient way. And let's not forget that most of the speed advantage in PDA's is wasted on a bloatier OS anyway..
