Ur right buddy. In it's day, the K700 made history as the best camera phone in it's class. Heaps of people either use the phone or keep it as a beloved spare that they can't part with, and keep as an excuse to continue posting on this excellent thread.
Quality equipment is nice to use no matter how old it is.

A damn good excuse in my opinion. Gives one his 15 minutes
Agree about quality. Lousy joystick, but a bit of cleaning sets it aright. |

@chili - Thanks for the correction, 'thought the monument was that of Ninoy's . . .
I beg to disagree that the K700 is a history - Eskay, perhaps your T68m is ! Because it has no internal camera . .. I know that in the very distant future I will still be acquiring a K700i . . . no matter what, as of presstime, I have already manage to OWN 4 with different K7s - with differenet IMEIs on different occasions that's 4 pcs for the record . . . and I just keep on owning one . . . again.

Thats absolutely correct Tranced. I was going to say the same thing earlier. Not everyone can afford to buy a K750 or one of the W series phones. For those that can't, the K700 is an excellent phone to have and anyone using one should be very pleased with their choice of device.

some people here, especially the ones who now own the k750 are disappionted about the k7's camera. why? are these the same people who, not more than a year ago, touted the k7's features the best since sliced bread? what happened to them? did they turned Benedict Arnold(to borrow from american history)? just like the venerable t68 and t610, the k7 has a part in mobile history. the said units introduced features in convergent style that others have only yet to incorporate in their own machines. they aren't obsolete in any manner. yes they have been outgunned by newer, shinier units, like the k750, but then, like beauty, it's in the eye of the user. they have never been outclassed. feature for feature they are still on par with the latest, just don't count the numbers. in any case, if you want a great camera don't look for it in cam phones because, accept it or not, they are merely hyped up webcams no matter how you look at it. get a cybershot if you're looking for "great camera features and images", if not then don't put the rest of us down with your hippy jazz "mine is better than yours" ranting. because at the end of the day, without these "obsolete" units, your shiny new wonder-gadget wouldn't exist. that goes double to those new skool punks who think that they are better than their forebears!
just ranting...please excuse me. i've had a long day |
