I don't think this phone is worth bothering with until the update comes out.
The phone is already amazing even without the update. Its definately worth to bother.
I agree. This is the first time in a long time that i have spent big money on a phone and think that its worth every cent. This phone is a beast. |

I second that, just waiting for the price to go down a bit. |

I've not been able to put mine down at all. Watched a video last night in bed with MBS-400 speakers and the screen is pure class.
Google Maps / Latitude works really fast - accuracy is always down to a few meters even when travelling fast on a train.

What's the google goggles like?
That seems like a really interesting feature.

Just tried out google goggles and it didn't work with a paper clip but it worked with a belkin logo.
Cool stuff!

is it basically what SE tried to file a patent for a while back which I can only describe as TrackID for objects using photos, basically, take a photo and it tells you what it is and tells you stuff about it?

Yeah! It analyses a photo you have taken with the camera, which takes a few seconds, then it brings up the google results for what it thinks the object/logo is. Not sure what it's limits are.
I'll take a picture of a cup of tea in a bit and see what it brings up.

Awesome. When I saw that patent application I got excited. I hope it's actually good and works.
When playing a video, and you skip through a little bit, is there any sort of pause while it catches up or is the playback fast and keeps up?

Just tested it on a two hour long video and there is no perceptible pause while it catches up.
Tap anywhere on the timeline on the video and the phone takes you there instantly. Literally, as soon as you take your finger off the screen you're there.

Tranced,
I agree but its just a screen protector like one u would buy normally and once its off its just the bare mineral sratch proof glass screen. So for people here who are talking about puting on a screen protector when u get your X10 dont do it otherwise you would have two on and your screen responsiveness will decrease b/c SE has alrdy perfectly installed one for us. If you look close.ly at your device you can see it.
Ahhh, you're right! I didn't have a clear protector in the box with O2 but I can just see the edges of the one already on the screen. I would never have noticed unless someone had pointed it out. Great work !
