Hi there!
I have been following this topic since the day it started, but it is the first time I post because I didn't have anything to add to the discussion. But now I want to translate Paparazy's post, because it seems he found something interesting.

@ Raider: When you take a shot at uniform colors say a wall it has faint horizontal scan lines like when you try to take a shot of a CRT monitor, I think this is caused by the slow down of the viewfinder?

heres a pic

I circled the most obvious area but its in the entire pic...

maybe you can add the variable to speed or slow down the viewfinder?

actually it shows up whenever you take a pic in poor lighting you can see the scanlines...

@ Sarmad: When I want to change sharpness in your driver, do I only have to change 05 56 to 04 56 in line:

06 02 00 01 04 56 #CMD_END // Sharpness 4

or do I have to change all 7 times within the whole driver??

@ all: Could somebody send me the original camdriver from a k750i CID49 R1DB001??

yes, change it everywhere... just do a search-and-replace..

and Raiderski... thanks for once again telling people that EV 0.0 is not right for every situation, it's just a reference point and should be adjusted depending on the situation!

THX Sarmad...
Just one question: if I want to add color correction to standard K750i driver, is it right just to add

SET_REG=05 02 00 !0 !1 $f $d0005;
COMMAND= 06 02 00 01 !1 !0 $f $d0005;
COLOR_COR= #SET_REG(20, fd)
#SET_REG(21, f6)
#COMMAND(58, 02)
#COMMAND(55, 01)
#COMMAND(13, 01);

or just to add

COLOR_COR= #SET_REG(20, fd)
#SET_REG(21, f6)
#COMMAND(58, 02)
#COMMAND(55, 01)
#COMMAND(13, 01);

It would be nice if you or somebody else could tell me how to add this in the right way...
Thank you so much,
Randolph

@679
uhmm... i can't say what exactly Paparazy wish achieve but his suggestion brings nothing new to discussion, just one of many parameters which were tested already. expressions like "fixed", "noise reduction", "correcting" were used a bit unfortunately :/

@gurbin
meeen! well done... very nice composition on second picture!

@lpd2
what do you mean? link doesn't work for you? or driver on your W810?

@shouhei
i found similar effect in my bathroom. now better sit down because explanation is laughter worth electric current frequency has 60Hz (in some countries 50Hz). so, if you light up this room with fluorescent lamp then it works with that frequency, which means: the lamp emits the light 50/60 times per second. camera sensor works with 50Hz/60Hz frequency, CRT monitor also draw image on selected frequency, even normal lightbulb! the principle of functioning is almost identical. difference in phaze between light source and light receiver and... ladies and gentlemens... we have stripes in some situations it's even pretty: http://www.flickr.com/photos/8469432@N06/514538600

@sarmad
no problem... your turn next time

@d8ctor46
i have 9.22 version only: http://www.sendspace.com/file/wvllva

@all
if someone is interested, link for 21.91 with description how to change and what mean definitions at top of driver code: http://www.raider.block.punkt.pl/camdriver_standard.zip

thanks for test but you must pay attention on small difference:

1. original 21.91 default exposure value is at -0.3EV
2. modded 21.91 default exposure value is at 0.0EV

this explain brighter picture and because of this pictures done at auto settings cannot be compared. besides if you compare again not in good sunlight but in poor light then picture from modded version should look better. and the last thing:

hey raiderski. i also checked the EXIF info on my pics and don't see any change in the exposure value as you mentioned above. they are both 0.0EV. maybe i missed it somewhere?

@Chopz
because you did pictures on auto settings (in camera menu was 0.0EV) and EXIF remember this but it doesn't mean proper/true information. we can change EV in code and EXIF will not recognize this change. he will save this what you have on viewfinder menu, not a true value.

well you would need to add the folllowing:

SET_REG=05 02 00 !0 !1 $f $d0005;
COMMAND= 06 02 00 01 !1 !0 $f $d0005;
COLOR_COR= #SET_REG(20, fd)
#SET_REG(21, f6)
#COMMAND(58, 02)
#COMMAND(55, 01)
#COMMAND(13, 01);

and then, in seq_ss_take you need to add a call to the color_cor routine. which would be:

#COLOR_COR
