I flashed my K800i with R1JG001. No problem at all
One question. Anyone seen any problems with R1JG001? Do you guys think I should upgrade to the newest firmware? Or stick with the one I have now?

If there's something improved about a firmware, why don't you upgrade? You will get improved Java engine. |

Does R1KG001 still have the video previews removed? |

To me that sucks unfortunately. It was a really nice feature. They could have just added an option to turn it off/on. |

Guess what, your warranty doesn't void although you flash it 100 times by using Wotan SE won't see any 'clue' at all as the firmware info is 100% the same..
How about that 1E0W thing in the firmware info? That could provide clue for critical SE service centre. I don't have that when I use SEUS. |

I would say that the most noticeable difference between the R1KG and the R1JG that I had before is the extreme slowdown in saving pictures.
It now takes appr 15 seconds (!!!) to save a 3mpix pic in normal mode compared with the maybe 5 secs it used to take...
Anyone else noticed this bizarre slowness?

As I posted before, I managed to get rid of that E0W string forever. Read my previous posts. |

No one else has this 15 sec saving-time for pics with R1KG? |

Disable time/date stamp. It will save pics almost instantly. This prolonged saving time is 'normal' in this f/w version only with date/time stamp enabled. |

Thank you! That was the solution.
SE must really have messed up some code when they changed from green date/time stamp to this red one...
Very bad since I really like having the stamps in my pics...

Hi there, my K800 has a strange behaviour: sometimes while using the joystick, the screen powers down "a là" power saving mode... at that point need to press the "<-" key to bring LCD on again.
Did someone experienced the same?
Hints:
1) firmware version:R1JG001
2) Two firmware updates a go, the update process stopped, and was afraid the phone couldn't boot up again. But it did.

To make it exactly as the standalone Cyber-shot digital camera, may be? If I'm not mistaken the date/time stamp is red..or am I wrong? Can't exactly remember.. |
