@Raiderski and Kriomag: I took pics of a object in the same position and the normal mode pic size was 435K but the fine pic size was 320K, how does the compression work then? One would assume the fine pic size would be bigger?

also spot photometry only enabled in macro mode?

everything is very easy to explain. compression settings in normal and fine mode is the same because Kriomag decide to set:

normal = standard exposure time
fine = longer exposure time for EM/ENM

so, why 435kb and 320kb? because longer exposure time gives gently blur and this removes noises. less noises = smaller file size.

spot photometry is only enabled in maco mode (manual focus) when you press full snapshot button when zoom preview is enabled. why? because spot light metering is very usefull especially in macrophotography. SPOT usage is VERY RARE and has SPECIAL NARROW PURPOSES (~99,5% of my pictures was consciously done without spot).

i can explain more things. feel free to ask...

Thanks for the fast reply! So when you say it is enabled in macro mode it means anytime manual focus is used? It's hard to really notice any difference between macro auto focus and manual focus shots...

@shouhei
not any time:

1. macro on, autofocus/infinity = no spot
2. macro on, manual, zoom preview OFF = no spot
3. macro on, manual, zoom preview ON = spot enabled

and if you push full snapshot button when camera is in state 3 then you will get picture with SPOT light metering.

i've left standard drivers for super mode solution. i like to control each parameter apart and not to lose in strange coherences (as above with spot).

@ljcii
don't use "as good as..." formula because this favoring only one driver and builds illusion of its superiority over other drivers which it's not true. all drivers are good and comparable in quality. there is only "super mode" or "standard" solution problem to choice.

@raiderski
Hey raider i just wanted to know if you could combine your latest modded 21.91 with SPU 1.3 supermode. I mean default mode should be just your driver but if ya press <**> then it should take you to supermode and offer all the functionalities that SPU1.3 offers. Is it possible to do?

I don't think he could combine it with SPU's driver, because SPU has his own way of writing the driver and using the registers.
But he could combine it with supermode features from Jonaugust_69's driver, because he based his on Kriomag 21.8 which is the one Raidersky's is based on.. Correct me if I'm wrong.
