Highly pissed off  ,the merchant said will ship same defective phone as they found no issues on this phone even service center has mentioned same..
really angry ,  ,worst service center from Sony India,what is the use of Xperia accidental damage?
Guys what should I do next,please let me know.......pls |

I not sure if I would upgrade to Z1 in early of 2014 or keep longing on my S, which the latter now I feel kinda have fast battery drain out problem. I would make consideration again when the mini sibling goes official later month.
First (few minutes) touches is very impressive, for build quality and design (of course, that's led placement).

@vikeviki. What service centres do is wipe out all data and install fresh software. Most of the times this is sufficient to get rid of problems.
(If your problem was the screen, someone posted a risky trick.)

you can try to visit another shop and explain everything. Maybe they will exchange it for you.

No buddy,it was purchased online and I have sent back the device,the device is with they told they have informed service centre and they kept it for 3 days and found no issue and told me they are shipping same phone..
I clearly mentioned its a screen issue i,e,hardware issue.they said will call me back tom,however I am not sure should i check with whom?  |

I have exchanged my Note 3 for an Xperia Z1 which arrived this morning, first impressions for me are not really that positive.
The screen is just not as vibrant as the Note 3. In fact I cant really see any improvement on the XZ screen from a few months ago. I would say that my Lumia 1020 screen is far more pleasing to the eye
The camera is decidedly average compared to both the Note 3 and my Lumia 1020 judging by the few shots I have taken. I am still on the earlier firmware apparently so IQ could improve.
Why is it still running 4.2.2 when it should have been released with 4.3, I know its not a massive update but SE always release their flagships one step behind. Why is the UK still lagging behind on updates............deja vu.......same problem with the XZ when I had it, infact if I remember correctly operator firmwares were first for the updates before sim free in the UK with the XZ
On the plus side the build quality is excellent
Im not looking to offend, im stuck with this for the next two years and hope it improves. Just my opinion

@lemmy - take some time to get used to the camera, it is indeed a good camera but it does take time to get used to it. take a look at the photo thread and you'll see that it produces great results in good hands. as for the screen, perhaps you got a bad one? you should go to a store and compare or compare with a friend. Apparently there are Z1s with bad screens out there as it should NOT be similar to the XZ. There should be a very noticeable difference.
4.2.2 is a shame, but it's not as far behind as Sony used to be! also, the phone is already blazing fast and efficient. Not sure what else 4.3 would offer that it doesn't do already unless you're a benchmark lover.
Anyway, happy to hear you gave the Z1 one a chance after having a Note 3. Can I ask why? just curious. But definitely look into your screen and perhaps get an exchange. I love my screen and I have compared it to a friend's S4 and Note 3, and I still love it. Sure, viewing angles are not perfect, but straight on, i think it has a slight edge over most, if not all, other phones (that I have seen).

@Lemmy31 my screen is very vibrant and coming from the over saturated Note 3 screen you will notice the difference. The camera is fine I got no issues with it and I managed to take very good photos. The Note 3 camera isn't as good as the S4 for some odd reason.

the screen, if you got the bad part of the screen lottery, it's really bad...
It's a shame  and surely the difference with the Note3 it's visible even with the best screen Sony have! but ass always i prefer the Sony screen head on instead of the Sammy AMOLED...
For the camera it's really strange... Surely the 1020 is better... and there's no point arguing it... but the Note 3??

I'm in contact with them, and if you want they will send you a guide how to order on their website(since everything is in japanese). Cost to send it to the Netherlands is approx 17-18 euro's and that will leave you with a total of approx 90 euro in total for just the case. To italy it will be around the same price. Have asked for a price (bundle) with the dock, but i'm guessing it will not be cheap!
But it is still gorgeous
