I had a T650 that wasn't scratch proof. i had a scratch down the middle of the screen. It's only scratch resistant, it is more durable than a regular screen and it keeps off the annoying little abrasion marks but you shouldn't put it in your back pocket with keys and sit on it.

My new toy has arriwed at the post office  I'm just going to eat(a very very fast lunch) and the head down and get it! Oh happy days..hoping for no f**k up or dead pixels now!

Not wanting to labour an off topic point , but let's just get it right!

The K850i lens cover was plastic, and had nothing to do with Mineral Glass.
The K850i and T650i both incorporated the new Mineral Glass Scratch Resistant screen. Neither are 'scratch proof', and they are both exactly the same type.
The link you have shown Plank, is simply someone posting incorrect information. Easy as that. The official Sony Ericsson specs show this.
It is resistant to scratches, but to what degree is unclear. A lot of people struggled with scratches on it, so it really isn't that much better than a 'normal' screen.
Anyway, anyone got the Phone yet?

i like the silver.
but im gonna go black because the whole body will be that rubberised plastic. where as the silver im assuming will be just plastic.
like the w910's. black is rubbery, red is just normal plastic.

I'm going to with the black too because I prefer the soft touch back (just like my present K810i), and I personally think the Silver and Bronze ones look tacky.
