I can't believe Blue Jacking is still going strong... Are you all at school still? Not being horrible or anything...

When BT first came out I was doing it all the time, I just thought everyone knew about it and therefore there's no point doing it....

you'll be surprised how many people walk around with their BT turned on wondering why their battery dies so fast, and also how many people dont even know wat the heck it is in the first place!

Every now and then I'll be standing on the train coming home from work and just for grins I'll do a bluetooth scan. I regularly find 3 or 4 phones with bluetooth on within spitting distance. The average phone user has no clue.

Yesterday I was at the coffee shop and was scanning the place for any victims. There was a W810i. So I sent "Your fly is open". the blok did not know what was happening and was showing his phone to his GF. Then I was unloading the "How is our coffee?". That was fun to watch.

My whole class always leaves their BT on so its easy to bluejack. Unfortunately it's also easy to tell who's blujacking you. But boy do I have fun when teachers leave it on.

I always leave my bt on. I do not have a problem with batt life at all. Just because you have bt on doesn't mean it's scanning. bt power consumption is minimal unless it's actually being used. So the only why you can lose power by leaving bt on is if 20 people a minute are trying to bluejack you. And then you'll know because your phone will keep asking if you want to accept something. If that happens, then it's easy to just turn bluetooth off untill you are out of the area. Or you could just see what they have sent you (as long as you don't have symbian or pocketpc os)!

I have been in a situation before where someone's Nokia s60 kept trying to send me a sis file via bt (commwarrior virus) but since my phone ain't symbian it's immune (though I didn't accept the message I just turned off bt).

got this picture from "LG125" today on the train. They didn't accept the image I tried to send back in return.

Oh well, I appreciate the thought especially when someone sends something decent.
