The best screen protector I have used is made by Martin Fields. The can be bought at the online store doml.com (a very reliable store):

joel80, johnex,

I ordered the doml martin fields screen protectors a few weeks ago, and with the standard shipping it took around 6-7 days before they popped up in my mailbox here in Norway.

That is an issue about the memory of the p990i. SE must do something about it before releasing it worldwide. If SE can't fixed that,it can be compared to a WM5 in restarting it everyday..

well a while back i read that this was the main issue why they were delaying the release of the p990, now that it has been released the same issue is still bugging the phone -i really dont think they have a solution to this problem-we might just have to live with it for now

Potential reasons:

- shortage of a key component OR
- major flaw found that may mean a recall OR
- manufacturing difficulties (e.g. August holidays) so SE don't have sufficient volumes for network launches
- regulatory problem

Software problems can be fixed with new releases but hardware problems can't be fixed so easily!

According to The Phone House in Sweden, they are getting such quantaties of P990 from SE that not even the accumulated pre-orders since november last year will pose any problem. TPH alone have pre-orders well beyond 1000 units...

Its been released. In Sweden
It's not OK, but almost leagal

From a Swedish site today:

The first mobile phones have been shipped to customers, but already now there are bugs. The web browser, Norwegian Opera 8, cannot be opened in a number of the phones.

Also the unit that di.se tested have problems with the web browser.

SonyEricsson Customer Service knows about the problem, and customers having the problem are asked to return the phone for servicing.

di.se has tried to get in contact with Production Manager Per Alksten without luck

-----------------------------

isn't it 64 mb memory ?

just 15 ???

the OS can't be using 49-50 mb memory that's ridiculous

is it really 64mb ram? the memory stick that came with the phone is 64mb. plus that the free space in the phones memory (not ram) is about 25-30mb before starting to save things on it.

@joel80

if the P990 is like the M600 SE will have included a lot of apps and content in the user memory which not eveyone needs.
