@ szuwx
I haven't updated my phone yet but the pic's quality in R1A should not differ from R1N's, since in both F/W the camera's SW is 4.5.
@ Those who have succesfully updated
Could someone plz post the Jbenchmark results with the new F/W
@ SE
F**k you with ur F**ed server.

A note to MWARNER - perhaps you should update the 1st page to include the bugs in this F/W. It is a bit misleading to state that MS Duo bug has been fixed - it hasn't, it has simply been reversed. Also, mention the failures in transferring from phone memory and the resets. |

wait up wait up! the MS duo is actually been fixed... and it hasnt been reversed. please do not jump into conclusions, maybe this reversive MS duo bug is not actually with the new FW. maybe we have done sumthin that might have triggered this dilemma (before the update, hardware settings etc etc.) because others doesnt experience this including me and for the others that i have updated myself. so lets not generalized and put further weight with this new FW.
agen i think this thread is a serious one, so if you dont have any important things to say but nag, then shut yer crap and contribute with the findings of those concerned people that want to make this new FW work. so lets not flood this with bogus info and emotional tantrums that dont help much.
i rest my case.....

No transfer bugs or resets here ... I can copy anything from PC to Phone and also from Phone to PC ... (even large files [200MB+], and also lots of flies [60+, 200MB+]), no problems with transfering even to/from phone memory.

now ppl say "screw SE, F*$k SE" for their server being busy, and later when ppl have updated their fw, they will start again swearing about the fw, i aint updating coz they havent had the hissing totally gone, even though its less but can be heard, so i am waitin on ppl to comment on that, and abt the reverse action of the ms bug, if u really want the new firmware then u have to adjust with the new bugs, thats wat i wanna say rather than swearin at SE, c'mon ppl unless they get the feedback abt the various bugs the new firmware has brought, then only can they release the next one by minimizing some of them, and of course u cannot get a bug free product.
Now ppl who really want to upgrade, then go ahead, for others who are cautious better note the points above and sit tight like me atleast for the time being.

Can anyone with R1AA, please confirm that MP4 tags are now displayed in the media player?
This is a big want for me. I think if it does I could live with just about any other bug this firmware might or might not have!!
Asumming I'll be able to upgrade any time in the near future. The servers is still "BUSY". If you believe that, which I don't. SE must of taken it off line, or something. |

MP4 tags. When playing an MP4 it's scorlls across the top the Artist, song title. At the mo with MP4's it only shows whatever you have the song named as on the phone.
With MP3 it does show the tag's, artis/song, instead of just the save name. But All my song's are saved in MP4, and I'm not going to change that. |

w800 does read m4a tags (not mp4 though, but that isnt a problem - you just need to rename the file), but so far the k750 canīt...i also wonder if this new firmware permits it

Don't want to convert my MP4's into MP3's. I like MP4 it's better. The K750 play's them fine. I would just really like the K750 to show the ID tag's. Thats all. I have lived without scince I got the phone and can live without it longer. It would just be nice to see the tag's. I would also be an even bigger SE fan if they made the tags veiwable when the phone is in sleep mode(like the clock)
@arez. Thats what I want. My files are actualy M4a, I thought that was just itunes(apples) way of coding MP4's! Maybe I'll have to go buy a W800, sounds like a good excusse to do so

O.K. To all you young ones - I'm an IT professional with 15+ years experience with Netware, Unix, and MS (unfortunately I know about Active Directory which is hard to stomach after years working with Novell's superior NDS/Edirectory/Zenworks). So, I know what i'm talking about when it comes to computing. Most importantly, I know how to properly and thourougly test software/hardware. If there is a bug in any s/w or h/W I have a strange knack of being able to find it!! 1st of all there is definately a bug when transferring large files from the MS to P.C. via USB. I have tried the latest drivers, master resets and formatting and no change. My symptoms are exactly the same as those reported by others. So, it is not an isolated case. My update to R1AA008 was 100% successful. Aslo, I have approx 15mb of files on my phone memory. When I try to copy this across I notice strange graphics on the phone. But eventually the copy fails. When it fails I look at the phone an it is restarting. All that said - I still prefer R1AA008 to the previous F/W's for the W800! I find it strange that SE have removed the link for SEUS2. They must know there is a problem. Let me apply my ITIL's skill on there whole team!! |
