I updated my Arc OTA to .62
and on idle the batt life is perfect, eats like 2% in the night.
I am not sure with heavy usage but I think it's similar to .42....
Is your Arc sim-free? Mine is, but it wont let me update OTA

SIM-free? Have no idea what you mean,
it's generic Arc from polish store
On T-Mobile contract.
It's the first OTA upgrade I got though.

@Bonovox Unless you're encountering issues I don't think it's worth updating from .42 or .62 to .69 as the number of changes is tiny and probably a lot of them will probably be region specific. I'd wait for the 6.x FWs due in the next few months as these will be the android 4 updates with actual feature changes and will actually be worthwhile.
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Xperia S Home, Widgets and Live Wallpapers
I'm on Stock 2.3.4 .62 Update No Root
You can get it Here
Install them just like any regular *.apk using a File Manager
Install first Home.apk and WidgetPicker.apk if you want to use Widgets
You can't select Photo and Video's Size, Only Large
Music Player has no Equalizer and Like Button and no more changing colors in the Widget and Player, but the player looks Pretty Cool
Weather widget is now animated
Tools will expand and will show more settings
If it is not compatible with your Xperia(maybe those with 320x480 screen) you can uninstall the Update in Settings > Applications > Manage Applications
If Application cannot be installed, You need to install it through root explorer and push it into the system

How do you install them?? I downloaded it but it says no compatible files on Arc S. Where do you download it to on phone and do you transfer the whole lot to the phone or just files one by one??

I have updated my Post Bonovox, but I'm not sure about some problems you will encounter on your Arc S

Bono, I think you may have to install each file on your phone. Use root explorer (the free version will do) to locate the files and click on each one to install it.
Oh and the Like button in the music player works on the Xperia Play.
