28nm Snapdragons (S4) are only meant to be sampling in 4Q11 ( and we're still in Q3 ), so don't even think about having one product in 2011 using S4... at least 1Q12 is required for such products... if any company have a very fast production timeline then late 2011 will be very optimistic when S4 sampling started directly in early 4Q11

Whatever it is, I just hope there are no leaks. SE please wow us this time, unlike the Satio.
Fixed.
Absolutely Agreed!
Best hope for Q4 2011 announcement and must hit shelves in Christmas or at least Jan-Feb 2012 someone wake me up!
The Nova A9540, built in 32nm, uses a dual-core Cortex-A9 running at up to 1.8 GHz and delivers graphics performance up to four times that of the U8500 and is sampling H2 2011.

^That's a bad idea. SE has been left out already by the competition, and not realeasing dual-core phone this year would just worsen their situation. What SE have to do is launch a device with following features: 1.5ghz OMAP 4460 dual-core processor and Wi-Link 7.0; 1gb RAM and 16/32gb internal memory; 4.3 inch 720p screen, 8/12/16 mpx camera and 1080p HD video recording, 2mpx front cam, NFC, 1750 mAh battery, Mhl support, stereo speaker/s; quadband 2G, 3.5G, and HSPA+ 21mbps; same design as Arc but made with metal casing. I believe a phone with these features would be able to compete with what the competitors have to offer. These features are very current and available to be incorporate in any device. Beside, I do not think any competitor would release a device with quad core processor or 20 mpx camera anytime soon. So this would just do for SE Flagship this year.

You guys are supportive of the disappointing SE. You wish and hope for the best when you know exactly how the results are going to be like.
Leave room for disappointment, as per norm SE will be behind somewhere. If it is a ground-breaking device then it will be released after Samsung or HTC have released their competing devices. If it is a dual core phone then it will be a 1.2ghz one, that's just what SE has become.
Frankly, I don't expect much anymore, in fact, I'm having serious doubts about them releasing a dual core phone this year.
It's not what you do or even how you do it but in what state of mind you do it: Dups! 2009 |

Well, there is already rumors about HTC and Samsung devices with the same specs for Q4...
has learnt their lesson from 2010 with softwere issues, I hope they will learn the hardwere underestimating mistake from 2011... cause smartphone customers have become more greedy with every year, that`s why SGS has become a hit, and SGS2 will beat it`s record, because it`s still a benchmark device and make people going crazy. |

oh come on, would you really wish that sony ericsson gets bought by a third party
this would probably even kill them more
in my opinion sony and ericsson just don't show enough commitment for sony ericsson (since its existence), opening up for a third party won't help them either
sony has the resources and ericsson has them, they just don't work efficient - or maybe don't distribute them as needed

@back2you
Why October now? You said SE will announce something in September... So SE don't present anything in the IFA Berlin in 18days? I know that Samsung will announce many new devices there. I'm really dissapointed from you and from SE too, if they don't show something new there... And remember, 1st October is Saturday!
