hmm ... that's weird. how different is our settings?
btw, once i got it activated and close FMA. re-launching FMA won't require me to re-activate the seria port
@se68
I use w2k. No problems here, check my latest posts

ignore my post regarding the problem i mentioned. i just found out that i forgot to include the port number i'm using in the list ports for Client Applications in the BT configuration.
@se68
yes, remove old software. install new software from tecom, then when it asks for a driver, i point it to the location of my old software (or use the driver from the CD). |

@Gowin
BTW 1.2.2.16 software from Widcom really can transfer file from t68/t39 to PC? Can you tell me how?
I mean, if we have installed that software we don't need support software like christersson's sendfile to do transfer file?

@remote_man
the sendfile utility is for sending files from your computer to the phone, not the other way around. so you would still need it.
the tecom software upgrade allows you to send objects from the phone back to the PC. please read the thread for instructions on how to do it. it has been posted several times already. |

Just want to say that I have got everything working now running XP. I can now send to and from my pc from my phone. So thanks for all your tips (mainly Gowin).
I used the latest version software from Widcom to do so (uninstalled version 15 then installed version 16). However I must say that I had to also uninstall XTND software and reinstall to get the synchronising outlook working and it wasn't until I did that I could send files to my PC properly. It was intermittent before that which I thought was strange. Then I realised something.....You must have been able to send files, as such to the pc with previous Widcom software versions else the XTND synchronise wouldn't work as this copies files to and from your pc with your phone to synchronise them.
Just a thought!  |

Another point of interest (or maybe not). In order to send files to pc or vica versa you need to pair your phone with the computer first. Now if you then activate a serial port in 'my bluetooth places' with a COM port in order to use MPM with Sony Ericsson 'My pictures' or XTND software then you can't send from your phone to your pc. As soon as you allocate the serial port and try and send from your phone the bluetooth (on your phone) 'greys' out and is unaccessible. Well it does on mine anyhow. |

GOWIN!
I bought the MSI too and I can't even get send a simple GIF file from my PC to my T68i. It can't connect even though I have paired it.
It says something like my phone does not have file transfer???? |

nino... i dont think the t68 will accept a gif file from the msi-pc. a third party sw must be needed.
if you want to send a gif, jpg to your t68.... use sendfile of christersson or mypicture sonyericsson (w/c can be found at the software section of esato or sonyericsson website.)
try sending buz card from your t68 to your pc... then that buz card send it to your t68.. to check if your msi is working good.

Hi all,
My MSI bluetooth key dun seem to work after a few months of usage... It doesn't seem to respond no matter how I use my T39 to perform background scan on the available BT key. I also tried the reverse way of using the BT key to scan my T39... It does not respond either. Both the bluetooth key and the T39 is working fine individually and they dun seem to see each other. My software version is 1.2.2.15 from Widcomm and OS is WINXP Professional . Any ideas on how to solve this problem. Thanks |
