Yes it can! I tried using e-messenger mobile, at:

http://mob.e-messenger.net

and it worked fine! But I can't say its all that great, I only used it for a while, and I reckon you're better off not bothering. It works tho, so if you've a really important convo you have to get to, go for it.

no, theres no way around the cookie issue its the price you pay for using free o2 gprs. [addsig]

@nikorooster, i was able able to login to my msn messnger via
http://mob.e-messenger.net ,thru wap, what about yahoo messenger, how can i view it via wap. And your Gprs charge is it measured by the time spent or the amount of data sent and recieved?

@angelgirl

the GPRS charges are based on the amount of data sent and recieved and doesn't depend on the length of connection at all. But if your using the free settings as posted in first post of this thread then you shouldn't worry about the charges right? [addsig]

Got my SPV working on orange on the free GPRS loving it hav downloaded almost a gig worth of stuff over the last month. Some problems with that is sometimes i cant get on ebay and often i get the "cannot find server" error message.

The end is drawing near for that free service so i am planning ahead and have tried out this free thing that has been said to be going on for years. After successfully setting up i managed to get on with no credit on my mobile + i havent topped up in ages. The service is slightly slower than orange and the cookies issue is very annoying with hotmail. As for MSN messenger i got on but when u talk there is a delay. I managed to get on this morning from 9:00 - 10:30 then the service cut out and wont let me connect, after a bit of research i found that people could not get on for days at a time so its best to be patient and sit it out. If people manage to get on please post and let us know.
