Hey float
I am so close to getting my Bluetake BT USB dongle and T68i working. I already got Outlook synchronising and the last thing was to send some pictures to the phone. The Bluetake website recommends your software, which I've got running, but my phone is using port 13. Your Serial Port stuff in the Options dialog only allows the serial port to go up to 9! Is there anything I can do?
Thanks!! |

@hamslay
just change the com port that your phone uses to a port that fma can use. |

GOWin, that did cross my mind, but I can't select a lower port. If I go into the Bluetooth Configuration dialog box and select the Bluetooth Serial Port, I can only chose between COM 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 and 23. It seems Windows has already allocated the lower ports.
I had a look at which port my old 56k modem is using and it's on COM 12, with all the lower ones showing as "In use". I don't know whether this has something to do with my motherboard having 6 USB ports or something, but I just can't find out what's using COM 1 through to 11

Well I finally made it, and have now got all my pics onto the T68i using bluetooth!
I think all the COM ports got messed up months ago when I had to keep reinstalling the fax modem. I forced Windows to use each of the COM ports one by one, even though it warned they were in use, until they were all free. I then removed the Widcomm software, rebooted and reinstalled. Hey presto! The ports are now COM 4 to 10, not 13 to 21! |

@hamslay
You're just a few days ahead before i roll out a version which could allow the com port to go > 9.
Side-notes:
Damm, i tested P800 with fma, and even Hyper-terminal lastnight. I can't even issue a command from the hyperterminal. Anybody could give some hints?

1. fma is now hosted by SourceForge.net. Please find it at https://sourceforge.net/projects/fma
2. There's also a minor update release 0.09.7, in the file release section
3. Source-code is available in the CVS. Please contribute rather then just grab it
4. Guys and gals, please join the team, whether you're a developer or not, there's sure a place for you to help, namely developer, project manager, architect, site administrator, documentor, beta-tester, help-desk, release technician, sourceforge expert etc. Please register and let me know your intended role.
5. I will not be involved as much as before, just too busy with my day job. Currently Crino is taking active role in the developer. Most of the update in the new release are by him, and he is currently working on IrMC-Sync for FMA.
6. A new homepage for FMA will be up soon, effort of Crino and friends.
See you there

Hi
just started using this piece of software and thinks is pretty damn good. But i am having problems with versions 0.09.6 and 0.09.7.
I have been able to run version 0.09.5 on Win2000 over th IR port abd it works great. But I can't the the new versions to work at all, keep getting error msg saying mobile agent has generated errors, a log is being generated.
Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution?
cheers

I happen to be among those who cannot unmute sound in floAtMixer. I played with the script and figured out that VolumeCtrl.Mute switches to 1 whenever you assign new values to either VolumeCtrl.Volume or VolumeCtrl.Mute. Curiosly new values get effectively assigned to VolumeCtrl.Volume as one can see when manually unmuting at pc. A sad thing is that you cannot unmute it from the handset because VolumeCtrl.Mute switches to 1 whenever you try to assign it any value including 0.
The issue seems to be in the VolumeCtrl object. As it seems to happen only on notebooks, the mixer is likely to have problems controlling some particular sound cards. I wonder if one can use some scriptable Windows object to control the volume (even without the cool Volume Status display). Or maybe somebody has another COM object which can do the job.
Thanks.
