And I'm not comparing to Nokia N808, but IP4S or SGSIII. If these can produce noise free daylight shots, then why sony can't?

Xperia S already takes better photos than GS3/IP4s/5 so no doubt the T is better as well. Checkout PhoneArena shootout of XS, GS3.GS2, Iphone 4S.

Randomuser, doministry, are you on Sony's paylist or sth? Go to gsmarena and compare. Comparing multimegapixel photos on 1920x1080 screen without 100% zoom doesn't reveal the whole truth.
look at the ship in:

YES, I'M A FRUSTRATED XPERIA NEO USER:(

Use your brain.

All other reviews show very good X T quality, compared or not.
As we discussed above - and as gizmodo pointed out - there may be problems with the fluff on the lens.
And that's why we/I think GSM may have faulty unit OR fluff problem when shooting this comparative charts.
I just don't believe this particular result when other shots don't show any of these problems.
GSMArena comparison shows basic problem with zooming.

And don't insult me boy with these stupid suggestions.

Using my brain allows me comparing what i see. The problem is persistent in 2011 xperia range and 2012 as well. I take loads of photos in the field with my neo and grass shots are full of black sharpening, like those from gsmarena comparision.

I understand. But you're just constantly whining over one thing. This is bullsh..t.
Oversharpening of the photos is not the only thing, there are many more factors.
And Xperias kick ass in most cases, I proved it myself millions of times comparing this to many other devices.
I have Xperia S and results are great.

And I'm not an Isheep or sth. Simply write what I see. This had been sony's digital imaging problem for years. Too much NR. Oversharpening. Lost detail. Yes, its a phone, but other companies achieve better results with the same or inferior HW. Doesn't anyone here really want Sony to step up its game?

I have had both the Xperia S and the SGS III and image quality from the Xperia S is of lower quality. Pictures have more noise and they are also more grainy at full zoom

Xperia T has a mediocre camera. Much better are SGIII and IPHONE 5 camera. XPeria T is rubish compared to them. 13 MP are useless.

marcink has a very valid point. And You guys are saying that Xperia S has very good camera? Let me use this comparison SGS III vs Xperia P vs Xperia S (scaled to 8MP).

It's beyond common sense to put in a mid-phone 8MP camera unit which beats the crap out of flagship 12MP... When a company releases a flagship phone, You excpect it to be the best a company has to offer (except Apple of course ). Here we get a camera quality way behind mid-range phones from the same company. How irrational is that?...

P.S Used Xperia S here, as T is much worse and may be very likely faulty unit.

I went through the whole chart with XS, SGS II & III.
SGS III is the cleanest of all but than XS often shows more real colours.
SGS II is in some places much less precise and loses detail.

Yes XS has a very good camera.

But I keep saying, it's only due to NR and oversharpening. Sony uses best HW available. Admad, please, If you can, use Comparison of SGSIII, Xperia S and T in GSMarenas Photo compare tool. show, if you can, that part of Gray Chart with pebbles and grass.

It may well be a faulty unit. I had that happen with an x10 where the lens was off centre and blurred. I don't think they look that bad and are seriously going to always be zooming in pixel peeping?? On another note I love the new Sony image gallery and pinch zoom in the gallery looks way better than that old ginger bread gallery
Phone?? What phone??

the Xperia T/TX uses microUSB port, right?

What is SIM-free? some articles saying SIM-free won't be available until 2013. does it mean non-SIM phone (CDMA) or unlocked phones (on any SIM network)?

some rumors saying it might be released on AT&T and T-Mobile in the USA. however I usually like it better without the branding. but if it's does release on my network, T-Mobile USA, and get some features like Wi-Fi Calling, can an unlocked Xperia T/TX get that same feature?

is it available for purchase, unlocked and ship to USA? links?

T-mobile USA network.
Xperia x10i unlocked + 32GB / Xperia Neo

Xperia Z C6606
Xperia L C2104
Xperia M Dual C2004
Currently using Xperia Z1s C6916 (T-Mobile USA)
