Whoops thanks for correcting me. Btw do you know if there is a firmware version newer than R3BH002 but is also stable? Heard that R3CA still has some bugs. |

ok it says: R3BH002..to get updates do i need to have internet service then or i can get it trough my computer and sended through the usb..
also do i need internet service to get on the instant messaging???

R3CA037 is a lot more stable compared to R3BH002.
afaik, there is new firmware for C702 --> R3DA029, but not available for all region yet. |

yes, you need internet service on your PC to update via SEUS.
also do i need internet service to get on the instant messaging???

Hi all, just tried to use W902 default Flash themes (Grape and Jet) and I can confirm that they work for the C702. In fact when you play a song and minimize the Media player, the track data (artist, album title, song title) and will also fly across the home screen just like on the W902 itself. Not all of the older Walkman themes have the same effect on C702, probably because C702's software is more recent.
While playing a song or charging the phone the Flash animations also change from the standard Home screen. |

Quick question about updates, will it wipe all the data and settings off my handset during the SEUS process?

AFAIK no, but if you somehow failed in the process (cable got disconnected etc) then your phone can die, and will have to be reflashed at an  service center. |

Yes it will wipe everything on the phone (M2 card is not affected) and all settings will reset to "factory" settings, donīt use Pc suite to back up your bookmarks, just copy them to your M2 instead

Default content comes with the new firmware too, themes, videos, games etc.

Thanks a lot for the correction man, I thought those didn't get erased because when I flashed my bro's W890 they came back post-flashing. |

Actually you can get it from www.sonyericsson.com
Pick your region and your phone model (you may have to register a user account) and choose Update software option from your My Phone page. |

WARNING WARNING....DO NOT USE W902 FLASH THEMES IN C902...IT MIGHT CAUSE YOU BLACKOUT ON YOUR C702 AS IT DID ON MY C902.
MY C902 BECAME BLACK.. BUT LUCKILY SEUS FIXED IT BACK TO NORMAL. (at first i thought it was something else...then i installed w902 flash themes again, and it worked strange one more time...then i knew it was "grape, earth" who caused the software blackout)
