How long have you had? Do you use the jog dial a lot (extensively)?
I always have this feeling that the jog dial is a kinda wobbly, so I tried to avoid using it as much as I can, and use my thumb or stylus instead.
I'm afraid that it's a hardware issue..can you bring it to a sony service centre? |

I very purposely haven't said a single word not one and their are pages i could of written by now. I am quite happy to just sit and read all the terrible experiences a lot of you are facing.
I have no need to comment as all of you are doing that for me. I just have this incredible feeling of Deja Vu.
By the way TAIL please don't try and tell me if and when i can post as to put put it bluntly that's just not your call to make not now not ever. I haven't posted because i can't be bothered to waste my time and energy on all this rubbish but if and when i decided to comment i will and if you don't like it well that's just tough. Invoke my name at your peril.

The jog dial is so stiff to press, I'm sure that will cause problems for the wheel mountings sometime in the future. I'll refrain from saying bearings as I'm sure there aren't any but you should know what I mean! The stiff spring will stress the wheel and aside from that it doesn't feel nice either. On a related note, the back button and shortcut key don't feel nice to press either. They are far too stiff and cheap feeling. Softer buttons would be much more useable, buttons like the camera focus/shot would be great.

Anyone else have this problem? I have a few apps on my p1i that I installed myself. I generally move them to a different folder(games in entertainment, fring in phone etc...), but whenever I install a new app or connect via FIle Transfer mode to the PC, anything I moved to the entertainment folder will go back to the tools folder. However if I move the stuff to other folders its fine.

I only posted because you tried to show how big and clever you are by telling me not to post and was totally unnecessary and uncalled for other than to take a cheap shot at me.
But of course being a SE fan boy of the worst kind the 379 posts in the bugs thread, the number of people who are reporting their camera no longer works and the people that can't even get their WiFi to work of course not forgetting the complaints some to seem have with the build quality actually that should be lack of with their made in China flagship product all seem to of conveniently escaped your notice. But don't let a little thing like facts effect your deluded perception of reality, just keep on praising SE and nothing will change.
The once legendary Ericsson build quality and reliability all seem to be a thing of the past and that really is a shame. Leave my name out of your posts and you will hear less from me. Mention my name and try telling what to do will have the opposite effect. So try and be a little bit clever here if that's at all possible and leave me alone and i won't post just horrendous SE now are IMO.

The only "bug" I have found is that the bluetooth connection (Which I rely on as my main method of loading things to/from my Mac from the P1i) takes a while to kick in. This has not been the case with the other SE phones I've used, which are all non-symbian models. The Bluetooth on my Nokia N80 never gave me any trouble, and was a lot faster for transfers than the S700i.
Also, album covers do not show up for some reason.
Other than those 2 points, I haven't seen any other bug issues with my P1i. The RAM is great, knocks spots off any other phone I've seen for multitasking.

Does anyone else find the web browser incredibly slow to load pages, even over wifi? My N-Series Nokia was way faster at web browsing. Is this a fault, are there better settings, does the problem lie with SE hardware or Opera? |

Using opera 8 is slightly slower but using opera mini, the page load up so fast. With the picture not displayed, it's almost as fast as my core duo laptop, almost! |

I like the pictures though, the full web experience. Loading something like a newspaper site takes AGES. On my N80 and N73 it was very quick indeed. What can be done about the speed on Opera 8? |

2 things...
1)opera browser seems to be slower then safari
2)wifi speeds are slow on the p1i period. infact at least 4-5X slower then s60 or windows mobile according to speedtests....

I am so disopointed over the speed on internet with my P1, Opera sucks and opera mini is not what i want, opera on my old P900 works better...
A question. Why is wifi closing down all the time? A bug or something i missed?

Hi all I am an avid fan of SE P-Series the only P-Series I miss out is the P990i. however this doesn't mean that i will be biased in anyway. I cannot claim to compare SE's new P1i with other smartphones since the only other smartphone i have is an XDA Exec. The point i'm raising in this post is that I don't really experience all the bugs/faults that you guys are experiencing. There are phone inferiorities compared to other smartphones perhaps, again i can't really comment on that since i don't have smartphones of other manufacturers. I have read each bug that is written in this thread and tried to simulate this on my P1 but was unable to replicate any of this bugs that most have encountered. Am I just lucky! there is only one thing though that I have noticed animated wallpapers don't seem to support animated GIF's do you know what file i have to use for animated wallpapers on a P1. I have this P1 for two weeks yet, do you think its quite early for me to say that I don't have these bugs?(Hope Not)
My P1 has CDA162024/9 R7A on O2 UK.
