Whilst I am genuinely happy with my k800i I would like to point out the following defects (bugs) I experience and wonder if these problems are unique or generally shared....?
* In any circumstances, selecting keypad tones 'on' (tone or click) the phone fails to produce a sound.
* The flash of the white screen just as all the lights dim to off and the phone goes into standby/sleep mode.
* Contact images appear when the person rings but not when they text.
Some of the 'bugs' others have reported are also apparent on my phone but for now I can live with them.
Are my problems firmware related?

But i cant find the phonebook search option in my menu...
|
| I just type the letters when I'm in my phonebook and it does something similar to a slightly slower incremental search. I don't think there is a menu option for it, but there is no need for one. |

It says R1CF001 is a new firmware for unbranded phones via SEUS...
Changelog:
* Störgeräusche im Radio entfernt
* Laustsprecher-Lautstärke erhöht
* Abschalten des Display bei Benutzung tritt nicht mehr auf
so roughly:
* Noises in Radio removed
* Loudspeaker volume increased
* Display switch-off when using do not arise

@mwarner
You are wrong about the progress bar. When you copy contacts from phone to sim, you will see that the border of the progress bar draws as the progress bar itself draws. That's not how it should be. The border should be there all the time as the the bar progresses from start to end. |

That's really stupid, to kill off the standby clock. |

After using for a few hours it does seem faster and the photo album does seem faster at making a photo become full resolution you know when it starts off fuzzy and sharpens up
