Hi!
I have K750 --> modded to w800
Problem is that I can't change my camedriver0.dat with sarmad's 5.7. FAR manager just freezes.
So could someone PLEASE smaller sarmad's 5.7 camedriver0.dat to 28kb.
I just can't wait to check this driver.
ThankS

I found focus difference in Fine mode vs Normal mode in Your driver 5.7
Photo taken in Normal mode is much sharper than in Fine mode
Adjusting - all auto
Fine mode, size 444 KB
Normal mode, size 329 KB
Is it a bug or not? |

Hey Kopritis, I am using your 7.2Vivid beta, and I find it best ever.......but I forgot where I got it. Then what is this v6 ??? and where is 7.2?
v1,v2,v3,v4,v5,v6 it's the same driver series with different settings.
7.0v, 7.1v, 7.2v it's other series...
My mods stops at 7.2v because i've change my phone. Now, i'll wait some people to crack the CID52 of K810i to make my mods there...

there is absolutely no difference in focus between fine and normal mode.. the ONLY difference at all is in the exposure time for Enhanced and Enhanced Night mode.. if you're getting sharper pictures in Normal mode, then it's because your hand was too shaky with the slightly longer exposure and blurred the image a bit.
trust me, the ONLY thing that normal and fine mode do is change the exposure time.. thats it!
as i said before, i recommend using Normal mode with macro on for most situations.. only use Fine mode if you want a longer exposure for a very high quality night shot.. but with Fine mode in low light, it's hard to keep it still so prop the camera on a table or something if you can't keep it still..
but normal mode works great in almost every situation and should avoid overexposure.. but of course you can always knock down the EV or take advantage of the auto exposure lock feature to alter the exposure level to make it what you wish.

it would be tough to get comparison shots as daylight conditions have to be fairly similar. i will try to get some in the future when i next visit this park again.
@all
a trick i have learned to take steady night shots (and even day shots) is to press the shutter button all the way down and hold it down until the image is saved. so normally you press the shutter and when the pic is clicked you take your finger off the shutter ... it happens instantly. however, when you take your finger off the shutter, you'll get instant camera shake ... this is not noticeable in day shots (good lighting), but in night shots you'll get out of focus pics even with this little shake. so what i do is press the shutter down and simply hold it down with my finger until i see "saved" popping up on the screen .... that's when the camera is done taking the pic and is saving it ... that's when i take my finger off the shutter. you'll find if you do this, you can stabilize the camera (in our case phone) a lot better.
try it out!

great tip! definitely this would help keep it steady.. as for holding the camera, for long exposure night shots, I make an L with my left hand using my index finger and thumb.. and cushion the phone in there and that keeps it nice and steady.. but i guess everyone has their favorite ways of keeping the camera still..

yeah, that's good idea cronos555, but since i use patch "hold camera button=enter menu", i can't use that trick anymore......
for me good trick is using timer,so we don't need press shutter anymore,and no shaking anymore
