The question one should ask though is will the P990 fit into the pocket of your jeans...with I slight squeeze and some re-arranging of the furniture it might fit it but I doubt the HTC Universal/Q-Tek JasJar will make the grade as it's humungous.

@ brix,
That question obviously pertains to the whole P-series family then, due to the very similar dimensions.Tahir and skhuu and others might want to add here as well, but I find that it is sometimes a mission to comfortably carry the 'P' in a trouser pocket, particularly if wearing tighter-fitting jeans!
As I have a Krusell leather case on mine, this also takes up a bit more space;yes it has a clip to attach to your belt, but then one doesn't want to 'advertise' your phone to any would-be thugs or whatever.
On top of carrying keys, wallet, etc., there are many times I wish I had a smaller handset as my primary phone when out and about.
Not to mention when one is seated ie. driving or sitting at a restaurant, inevitably my P900 is not in any trouser pocket then;I personally find it too cumbersome is such instances.Until I start playing around with the phone again, then all soon seems to be forgiven and my bitching about hauling the thing's portly dimensions around forgotten...
The Jasjar is just out of the question for average pocket-carrying.I'm sure celltech could clarify this. |

i still use my P800 from time to time, but only as a 2nd phone, its a bit out dated but still a gr8 toy to play with, wont buy another P-series tho due to the size + price, its just too uncomfortable, but no doubt worth it if you use all the features every day.
Do you guys know of absolutely no radio app for java phones? A shame really......

@Rhino: It's really a shame that there's no java app for radio...Somewhere on this planet a couple of nerds locked up in a room are probably working on this project.

@Wangsta.
The P910 fits on me. I dont wear tight jeans, it fits nicely if the jean is a little and not too tightly. It feels nicely in my pocket, but without the flip and that damages the display. With the flip, to me its not nice. I bought a belt case for it, that becomes better but I dont like to display my phone.
But to me its not that big, just big for its status.
I like normal big phones, but not too big to make 2005 to be1995. |

@skhuu: Seems like there's a trend from manufacturers to make phones bigger citing 3G+memory+ added features as an excuse?
When was the last time you saw a new model that was the size of the T68 but packed with features.

What do you guys think of the new E-series Nokias launched today?
Two of the 3 seem to be very interesting handsets indeed(E61 looks like a fattened P990),and the one looks so much like an SE clone!!!!Sue 'em,SE! LOL! (E60)...
The E70 looks like a glorified 6822.
Gee,the frequency that Nokia brings out new phones is quite phenomenal.

@ brix,
Besides the lack of 3G,wouldn't you regard the W800i and K750i as feature-packed handsets, and still being very similar in dimensions to the T68? (I'm not counting in flip-phones here, just 'candybar' form handsets.)
Maybe the future K750 replacement will have 3G etc. in a similrly small package? |

@tha wanqsta: I rertract that statement...the K-series from SE is quite feature-packed( the brixster steals a glance at his precious).
I'm checking out those new phones from Blokia right now...problem though is I can't find them on gsmarena.com.

Hi Wireless Dudes... and dudettes if there are any reading here. I've just returned from a hectic conference over at Sun City and believe me it was no joke. But after 11pm at night when I had a few minutes to play I played with my new Nokia 6680... yeah.. das Monkey Dude now owns a Nokia 6680. It was a kind gesture presented to me to stop me from crying about not getting one. So a certain m'ello network sent me one last Friday. I used it for my work at Sun City to send hi-res pics first over Bt to the phone and then over VC 3G.. like zip... and wow for VC for having 3G in the bosveld. Also I've been streaming Virgin Radio on my Nokia... hell feels funny using "my" and "nokia" in the same line. All said.. this Nokia kicks ass... it truly does.

@the wanqsta: PalmOne and RIM stand a better chance of suing Nokia successfully.
Looked at those pictures and there's nothing original there...the E70 looks like a Treo/Blackberry and the E60 copies the T630 in design.
These devices are bound to be popular next year when they get released because Blokia has got this market in a chokehold and it ain't letting go anytime soon.

Halo guys... I've been playing with my Nokia 6680 and I've been streaming Virgin Radio across 3G. Brilliant stuff (see picture). Visit http://wap.virginradio.co.uk/#menu to download. GPRS rates apply... just a reminder.
