its a video stand.
most of the asian packages come with one, along with a case and screen protector.
so far ive only seen some european countries come with the mw600... along with a screen protector. minus the case

hi all,
my first post here. I have just bought an x10 and i was wondering if there is a way to have your favourite contacts on the main screen. I hate going through the phonebook and clicking favourites. surely there must be a fave tab somewhere on the homescreen like the one satio has? |

I have a question abt proximity sensor. Shouldn't the screen turn off when you bring the phone to the ear ? Why this is not happening?

@MyP910 I remember reading somewhere that it has no proximity sensor.
And yes, it is a stand in that picture. It's really small though. I think they were packaged with Yari too..

It does work it is just not immediate. The screen dims very slowly but thankfully it is reactivated as soon as you move it away from your head.
The booklets that came with the phone show the location of this sensor.

Rogers just posted their official pre-order page for new customers getting the X10: the rumors were correct - $149.99 on a new 3-year term, and they're offering a free MW600 on any pre-ordered units.
Rogers puts on pre-order promo for Xperia X10
For existing Rogers customers, it doesn't look like pre-orders are available, but the X10 will be on sale on April 15th and the MW600 promo will be available until April 30th.

That's great news about the Rogers pre-order! I'm with you moogoo....hopefully this means we'll get our hands on NAM versions very soon, maybe even some time this month. If the Rogers X10s have very minimal or no branding at all, we may very well be able to get the phone in the next couple weeks (I really want no branding if I'm going to be spending this much $$$ on a phone)! If the no contract price of $550 holds, I will be a very happy homo sapien. |

oh yea.. $550 would be awesome TJMonkey. Even if it is branded, you could always flash it to standard android with a copy directly from google. and maybe someone will make SE's UX skin available for download somewhere too. so as long as they don't modify the hardware with logos and bullshit... shouldn't be a problem.

Latest I read was that a more solid rumor seemed to be $599.99 CDN through Rogers off-contract. Still, as others have said, that'll include a 16GB MicroSD card.
I've also been advised by a Rogers rep to "stay tuned" when I asked whether there'd be an early HUP option for existing Rogers customers who don't currently qualify for an Android smartphone HUP, so there's a possibility. |
