It seems R1KG001 won't be released for CHINA, HONGKONG and TAIWAN main firmwares. Only GENERIC main plus several operators get it. I've been watching it on Wotan for 3 weeks and there's no sign of any such availaibility. It means this time APAC, TAIWAN and HONG KONG customisations are excluded. Can't see any reason why. This phenomenon takes place for R1KG001 W850, K610, and K790 of similar firmware platform as well. Or we should be more patient of waiting, uh? It may be the case. Or this European-based release is a sign of the end of K800i firmware development? However, after Google-ing a bit, found out that SETOOL said R1KG001 is pre-release MR, therefore not all filesystems are available. Pre-release but it is out on SEUS? Can't explain further.

just updated my K790i here in India to S_Asia_Levan CDA 102568/110 to R1KG001

the game A button still doesnt work for scrolling purposes, the same problem as in R1JG001

thats really disappointing by se.....they should have taken care of that.....the game B button works fine

i thought it was resolved in R1KC001 wasnt it @ aremaboy

i checked the video player right now, it goes into standby after a few minutes just as before. so i wonder what improvements have been made here?

this is really very disappointing.

I upgraded my K800i to R1KG from R1ED about two weeks ago and noticed that my battery life has decreased quite significantly. Standby times have been reduced from about 5 days being the usual to needing to charge the battery every 3 days now.

Is there something in the new firmwares that increases power consumption in the phone?

Are you really complaining about recharging your phone every three days? Really?

I just upgraded to R1KG001. The very 1st noticable thing is the date stamp has changed from Green to Red. More importantly, I have also noticed that the time it takes to save a picture after taking a photo is longer. However, I think this has come with an improvement in picture quality. i.e. since getting my K800 a few weeks ago I have been disappointed in the quality of the photo's as every photo seemed to have jaggered edges. I have done some quick tests with photos under R1KG001 and I think there is a marked improvement. Anyone else noticed this???

Hi, I don't even know that the date color changes to red as I always disable it. Photo quality wise, have no idea about it. I always think photos taken with K800i, from R1BC to R1KG, produce great images. Noises and blur here and there are just normal as it is whatsoever a camera phone, not a Cyber-shot standalone digital camera. That's why I always say there's no major noticeable changes in this R1KG001. The picture quality may increase, I simply can't differentiate.
