@jojo, your last pictures were excellent buddy not a problem at all with those I've been posting here regular since joining esato. I gave my K700 to my eldest daughter. But will have it back when she changes it. i still take the odd picture with it but already have 500 + pics on my pc taken over the past 12 months or so. It's nice to see some renewed vigure on this thread. I am going to make a concerted effort to borrow back the k700 and shoot some new stuff
Bit off K700 topic but still mobile picture related.
A couple of days before christmas I won a samsung e350 (sim free) after entering a mobile picture competition with our local news tv channel, I sent a sunset picture in that I had taken with my w800 which is also posted on the w800 thread here. Bit unfair really as the w800 has bit of an advantage with it's 2mp camera My youngest daughter is now the proud owner of that one.
One taken tonight, with the k700. This is a personal favourite picture mine. My wife taken when she was a little girl.

@jojo, thanks buddy, my wife is a cutie I will have a look and do a before and after When you say you havee your settings to normal are you talking about the quality settings or the lighting etc. I would be inclined to have the quality set to 'fine' if it isn't already
@dr_thug yes this is not the first time I have been told this, my mother always told me that a high forhead was a sign of beauty
I hit 40yrs back in june so considering that the hair could be a lot worse
@max, thanks for your kind words, are you making a pass at me

i got this from a friend's(from oogamous-another SE lover in esato)blog...i was reminded of it by marl's comments.
"It is a good thing for a physician to have prematurely grey hair and itching piles. The first makes him appear to know more than he does, and the second gives him an expression of concern which the patient interprets as being on his behalf"

@marlon - Thanks for the pic comparison, on the last image, who's the one BESIDE your wife . . . her Mom 40 years old . So you are as YOUNG as ONE of the Mods here pal Are you FOND of taking images in B&W than in Colored mate?

@jojo that's a friend of my wife. Her Mom she would hunt you down like a dog if she ever found that out obviously this is our little secret
FOUR ZERO seemed to come out of the blue mate. I was saying to max_wedge the other day about us being a couple of the older statesman on esato don't think maxyboy realised I was such an old git or he would've never agreed with me
In answer to your question I like taking colour and black & white very much. I find b&w can sometimes bring a relatively plain subject to life. I get better results from actually taking a b&w picture although I may from time to time use a photo package to take the colour out. The reason maybe that the subject matter is very good but perhaps the background colour isn't working. Seeing chili's pictures on here encouraged me to post more b&w.
You should check out the w800 picture thread. I have a few pictures on there including negative shots which I also like to mess around with
This one for example I don't think would look the same taken in colour

@marlon - Sorry for that matey . . . Yeah, I agree too that taking B&W shots with the K7's cam produces BETTER images, LESS grains I guess . . .
I wish you made those comparisons this way dude:
1. The younger image (pic frame) of your wife was shot in the Sepia Color Mode.
2. The after image (with her friend) in Colored.

@marlonski - EXACTO MUNDO matey ! Now your wife's FRIEND really looks her - FRIEND and not - her MOM She appeared YOUNGER in colored . . . background.
I TOOK this one under normal settings, the weather is a BIT cloudy but still manage to capture it - clear!

marls I'm only two years behind you buddy!
You are right about black and white - it is always surprising how much it can bring out details that would be missed in colour, while also obscuring other details - such as in the picture of your wife and friend, the colour of the walls was completely unexpected to me.
