i dont get the rubber keypad on 628 think it was a very bad idea to decide for it. 888,however its an earlier model looks and feels way better. or at least they should have choose the 310 keypad solution, now thats what i call quality!

Right,
Ihave used the R290 on O2 and on Voda as its only 900gsm and SAT this is all i can do, both worked well seems to have a good signal makes and receves call like and other /// of the time.
The UI on the phone is totaly diffrent to any other /// i have come accross in some ways almost dated for the type of phone, you bring up the menu you scroll through the menu using one button or just type the prefix number thats it very simple design.
to switch to SAT mode you just type "4" in the menu and thats it trys to find the SAT have not been able to test this yet as im not getting any help from my network they dont want to know.
Texting also works well athough i would say its almost a primative disign maltitap only.
In the box i got
Phone
2x Batterys
Manuals in EN,DE,FR,IT
Internatial Chargers
A Case (non genuine ///)
The Phone itsself was made in the UK
Date Code 01W07
F/W R1A
thats it for now

If you are a Vodafone contract customer you should be able to put your sim in and it should log onto the satellite ok. Havent used this myself but that is what I understand from reading other sites.
