Thanks for that, I've downloaded the widgets and installed them.
Did you get the world clock widget and the calendar one?
Yes, although actually I just realised the widgets I have may be from when I installed them myself with the ones using the link I gave you a couple months back. Then forgot about. Though I do have the calendar one which is new? I'm confused now because I also did a complete reinstall since then which deleted everything but I used a back up app, and maybe restored the widgets I had placed myself
If that makes any sense haha, so if I have the calendar I must have been given them when I updated to 2.3.4 and not because I placed them there myself?

Do you have the world clock and calendar widget links from before?
Have downloaded the other three but not sure how to get them working on my phone...
Where should I save them on the sd card? Do I have to do anything else?
Thanks |

For me the latest upgrade is great.
The phone is definitely snappier.
And battery life is even better.
I don't have any new clock or calendar widgets.
Analogue clock was here since the beginning.
But there is new nice weather one.
Video now is in stereo and the sound is better.
Camera is also snappier.
The only letdown: you watch photos you made only in gallery now.
So no fullsize preview anymore. Bad.......

You have to do couple of things, first off go to Home > Settings > Applications and make sure the 'Unknown sources' box is ticked. You will also need to download a file manager (so you can access files on the sd card) I use ASTRO download that from the Android Market and install.
Now place the .apk files on your memory card (anywhere is fine, but put them somewhere where you can easily find them) Then open the ASTRO app and navigate to the place on the SD card you put the files, then click on them and it will give you the option to install them.

I am experiencing a slight problem since the update, and that is I use Handcent and once I have read a message and I need to unlock my phone at some point on the display it is telling me "1 message unread." I have to go into the stock message app and then exit out of it for this not to happen, until I receive another text? Anyone else experiencing this? anyway to fix it ? |

Yes i am having the same problem too. Very annoying having to go into the stock messaging app everytime. Unforunately i have no idea how/if this can be fixed, unless the next minor firmware update corrects this in anyway. Hope so.

4.0.2.A.0.42 is the update we all got when going from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4. Nordic regions got 2.3.4 first but in the form of 4.0.1.A.0.283, the only difference between that and 4.0.2.A.0.42 is a couple of bug fixes but nothing major.
