Yes, but no phone will automatically accept them, unlike contacts which many phones do accept without the phone owners authorisation.
Also, SE note files are not compatible with most Bluetooth phones, so if they do accept the file, they cannot read it. Kind of pointless then, huh ?

i had a question..
Eldar wrote about the successor of k750(which is of course k790/k800) in his review about w810i..plz explain da quote..specially the part about blutooth profiles...does it mean no more blujacking wid k790.??
"The K750i, and correspondingly the W810i will be replaced only in the end of 2006, the next model will distinguish with a QVGA-screen, a 3MP camera, support for all possible Bluetooth profiles (but you still will be forbidden to scan other devices and their file structure),"
plz explain??? |

It means you wont be able to pair with a phone, and then use the old "Browse" function that the K700i had.
Its nothing to do with bluejacking.

I guess I should recount a moment that I had whilst on a train journey.
I was travelling from Bath to Reading in the UK on my way home from a training course. The train was packed as the previous one had been cancelled due to an accident. I ended up standing in the 1st class section as there were no seats left in standard class.
In the carriage there were a bunch of city wide boy types who were being rather loud and obnoxious. They were making rude comments about how the passengers who were standing in the carriage shouldn't be because they hadn't paid 1st class. I couldn't help thinking what a twat. So, i created a contact called 'Shut up you w@nk$r!" scanned for phones and sent it. Bingo! The loudest and most obnoxious of the guys picked up his phone and then looked around the carriage trying to find who had sent it. They were a lot quieter for the rest of the journey.
I know I got lucky actually getting the right phone out of a whole bunch that came up, But how fantastic was that. His face was a picture! |

I find the opposite, theres more Bluetooth phones around but they're impossible to send anything to, because most people seem to be buying Nokia phones that have to manually accept the message by the owner of the phone saying yes on their handset.

hi etaab
best place to bluejack someone is on a bus because they are always still and connection is good.

Possibly, but then whenever ive caught a bus in the past, theres only been the odd one or two phones on it and they were hardly ever bluejack-able.
I have more success sitting in my living room pointing my phone at the passing traffic when it gets congested.

Visiting Leeds today, i managed to bluejack several phones from the comfort of a friends car whilst in the congested gridlocked traffic.
