I really hope a HSDPA features a lot in any upcoming phones, Sofia is supposed equipped with it.
At the moment there are only about 5 HSDPA phones on the market.

UIQ 3.1 Is for non touch screen UIQ devices, like the moto Z8. So you cant expect the p990 succesor to be non touch screen.

UIQ 3.1 is just a feature pack over UIQ 3.0...apps are compatible...you can read at UIQ.com, UIQ 3.1 is an "adition to UIQ3 family". Also, UIQ3 alows both touchscreen and non touchscreen phones, and obviously its the same with UIQ 3.1
If UIQ 3.1 is the new feature pack of UIQ3, its logic next smartphones from SE to carry UIQ 3.1 instead of UIQ3, just like newest nokias will carry s60 v3 with feature pack 3

1.3MP CMOS sensors aren't that much more expensive than VGA (2-3usd)
and 2MP CMOS sensors aren't that much more expensive than 1.3MP (3-5usd)
choice of resolution in future low end phones would depend more on the processing power and size than the camera module itself

Lets just hope all the low and mid-tier phones have been announced already.
I had a thought last night about the new smartphones that are being released with cameras, maria and elena.
I can't think of a reason why the W950i was released without a camera when it is a music / multimedia device. Now, I can understand why there might have been a demand for the business-oriented M600i to be cameraless, but why the W950i? Does anyone think the W950i was just a test bed for Maria and Elena?

Good question. Most W950i owners i know all have a second phone for camera usage.
Perhaps SE just got it wrong in that sense. Im sure they wont make a mistake like that again. |

the harder all esato die hard fans push for SE to come out with new design to fullfill their lust on SE product.
The worst their engineer will suffer with sleep less night...brain drain condition and hypertension condition which eventually lead to social break down and bad temper

Better screens
HSDPA
WiFi
3.2 Megapixels or more? Not too much to ask really is it?
