Since 2.3.4 I get a notification on my lockscreen when I get a new sms (also from FB etc). It is the built-in mess app that gives the notification. I now use Handcent as a default mess app and have turned off notification in the statusbar at the top of the screen for the built-in mess app. How do I get rid of the notification on my lockscreen? When I have read the sms via Handcent there is still a unread notification both on the lockscreen and on the app icon.

Go to the list where you see your SMS, then click on the options key and select Settings, then deselect the second check-box from the top (about notifications).

Tnx.
I've done that, but that's just for notification in the statusbar. Not on the lockscreen.

@ricky D
Tnx dude, by the way the SD card was included in the package 16Gb, when the internal memory got low I suggest to my officemate to transfer all the apps to SD card, then the problem ocurred, there are times that all apps was disappeared and there are times that just few of them are ok.

Oddly though mine isn't listed there? Mine is 1246-9197.8 so do I just assume you round up to 1246-9198? Bit concerned that my handset wont get the update

Yes it was, and mine is also UK generic. I got the 2.3.3 update so hopefully its nothing to worry about. Out of interest what is your SI number?

It's on the box and will have the letters SI before it and be in the layout of the ones above. Might be in the info under the battery as well if you don't have the box still.

FFS. My LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.42 that I updated to 2.3.4 this morning has spontaneously rebooted about 15 times already. Running Google Listen, Spotify, FM radio while out and about this afternoon it kept rebooting as I tried to listen to my content, infuriatingly. Then it just died before my eyes as I wrote an SMS, read email etc this evening.
Has anyone else had this post 2.3.4 reboot nightmare? The phone is to all intents and purposes unusable if this continues.
So whaddya know, the rebooting is being caused by a loose connection (possibly with the battery) in the hardware. When I was out and about with the Arc in my pocket it was obviously rebooting when I stepped too hard or banged in to something. A quite gentle knock on the rear of the handset when I am holding it know sees it sometimes turn off outright, or more often reboot (though really, really quickly).
Might have to try stick a bit of paper in beside the batter to keep it more firmly in place.
Very, very disappointed with this as the exact same problem started with my X10, pretty much the same amount of time after I had bought it - circa 6 months. Life in plastic, it's not fantastic.
I wonder is it covered under warranty? I am sure I have dropped the handset a couple of times but I haven't been chucking it against the wall.
Thanks @Ricky_D for your help on this mate. Would be much happier if it was just a simple bad flash as you suggested.

I had a similar problem with my K850i, though are you sure it's the battery? Can you wobble it, because looking at mine and it feels pretty secure, because it fits the gap, where as the K850i slid out vertically. Could it maybe also be an internal fault, which when the phone experiences a shock it short circuits or something. Actually my K850i did this too, now I think back when you pushed down on the edge of the right side it would reboot. Kinda sucks both ways, though not to be surprised by standards.
@At general 2.3.4 update, seriously SE I am getting tired of waiting please hurry the f k up!

That's the slight flaw with getting a more powerful battery, the phone still believes that its got a normal one. As far as I'm aware there is no way to change that. You could do some maths and work out the ratios to the percentage you see to what is actually there...
I have no problem with it when i follow this rules.
•The first couple loads keren entirely, and entirely empty let go before you load him again.
•After these couple keren simply this way frequently possible to the oplader hang, this is well for lithium ion accumulator.
•Entirely to empty after 30 time the accumulator lets load. This ensures that the accumulator % status is calibrated. If you do not do this chance has you that you differ at data moment large in accumulator % status see.
•The accumulator becomes during and after the first month use always better, therefore at the first couple keren load the accumulator not yet will function 100%, because he must be still conditioned.
•After 2 years of production date amounts to the capacity of lithium ion accumulator still approximately 80%. It does not determine if you do not use him or, this accumulator to deteriorate after course of time. This reduction has been coupled to technology. For this reason advise it to production date is look at if you buy a second accumulator in the future. Now applies that of course not yet because the accumulator is now all new.
And it works perfect
Why are people think that i'm spam and i have limit for 3 post in a day? What is wrong with my post, well one thing for sure i'm out of here in this crap Esato..........i hate that when they accused me for this shit.
