Just now, I tried copying about 20+ JPG files from my MS using the phone (connected thru USB) and after copying about 12 files I got a Windows error that a file being copied no longer exists. When I check the disk drive of the MS, it shows nothing (as if it's been disconnected). I disconnected the cable, and tried again. No error this time.

It seems there is still a file transfer problem with the latest firmware.

No, that is not a file transfer or firmware bug

That is standard windows behaviour and It is exactly what it appears to be, a loss in connection, due to the usb connector being very slightly lose thus the small pins lose connection.

Move the usb connector a litle in its socket and it connects again.
When having the usb cable connected place the phone in such a way that there is no strain on the cable pulling it out/up/down

It worked, woohoo. And the USB bug seems fixed too. Now I can sleep peacefully yay

(If I didn't randomly look for problems related to the W800i, I would have returned my memory stick, and not solved anything... This is such a major bug. I mean, most people who buy this phone will sooner than later try to add some MP3s. And to find that only 5 or so songs get written on the memory stick AFTER picking 460-ish MB of songs is just wrong. And having to copy the file by file is just to make the files "stay" is even worse).

Anyway, thanks again for the help

hey all, can i just clarify, is R1AA008 out for APAC_1 for both k750 / w800i via SEUS?

hgkeh's post seem to indicate he was able to do it for APAC_1 but he didn't mention if he had a k750 or w800.

Yes, it is out and i guess you have to do it via SEUS II.. make sure your firewall allows the update client to connect to the server.

good thing i didnt experience that phone to pc transfer glitch. really! i tried copying 31 jpegs from camera folder to PC.. flowed smoothly. the one thing that bothers me is the transfer rate.. theyve prolly adjusted to some point where the bitrate transfer has to suffer something in the end.

well for me, i can say that SE has assessed to some glitch from R1N, and it went good, hope fully this R1AA performs better.

chill ya'll, not much to nag about with this FW

Successfully updated to R1A (in the USA, chose UK from the update software, EU2 fw).
Definitely noticed improvements that others have mentioned...
*Zippier navigation through the menus, particularly when going back
*Crisper screen - for me, it's most noticable on the main menu - the highlight seems more defined, particularly around the edges
*Improved RF (seems to be anyway...in my living room I've lways been at 3-4 bars. Have been sitting at 4-5 since the update)
*Java apps/games seem to load faster ...but i'm judging that one one game in particular I play constantly and had gotten used to its load time.

Copied a bunch of files at once via USB cable to the phone/memory card...didn't have any problems.

hey
im from Belgium.
I had the R1N035 firmware and all the bugs with it:s
So yesterday i decided to update my k750i with the latest new firmware. I update my seus to the new version.
Everything seemed to go well, untill the end of the updating. I got an error "script error lo..."
I succeeded in starting my cellphone.
I know have the
R1AA008 version but below in the list i get to see R1N035.
and this aint normal, cause other people here succeeded in updating there k750I and in there log there was twice this code "R1AA008"
And all my languages dissapeared also.i only got english now.
I removed seus and removed the special driver and reinstalled it but i keep getting the same error.
Im remember someone else on this forum having the same problem but i can't find it anymore (topic has gotten to big to read everything:s)

Thanks

hi ZeroCool!

i guess your talkin about the Master Reset thing. tho i may not advice you doing so especially you haf a glitchy firmware which actually doesnt recognize which one to use whether it be R1N or R1AA... am i right?

hhhmmm.. there are 2 files needed for a succesful upgrade, that is.. the FW and the other file which i cant recall wot to call it. and prolly you either haf one of dem files... but the other part of the FW didnt succesfully upgrade... so its like your caught up in a limbo between 2 succeding firmwares.

try doin the whole process. check yer cables, deactivate AntiVirus softwares. make sure you remove your SIM while upgrading... then prolly you hafta come back for details. sori its the best thing that i can come up with.

my turn of bad luck... updated via SEUS II and it identified EMEA1 for firmware, go ahead with it and then bam! script error... now my K750 is dead. can't turn on.

further attempt says my phone is updated. updated via old SEUS and it stops at 10% and error... geez.

i will try da vinci to recover

Just upgraded to R1A088 from Malaysia's SEUS w/ its new update service software.
Everything seems ok.
The hissing problem while playing low level song is a little bit improved.
Now it supports multi-character search in contacts (phew.. it really saves my fingers )
BUT.... i discover that the reminder (calendar and notes) volume is so low. Really low IMO.
Anyone face the same problem?

Isn't it great this SEUS 2 monster. Doesn't even have a recovery mode. But sure has fancy graphics!

Thank god there is DaVinci

Yes how ironic... and when things gone bad... youre doomed! hehehe, just smash that brick phone to yer head. another flaw i guess. but just what numb has said, we should check carefully our connections, everything is corelated. maybe it has something to do with the IMEI CDA FW stuff like that... if the IMEI is funked... so goes with tha CDA... well im just assuming.. but i guess itll help before using the SEUS2 update or any legal update coming from SE. lets make sure that these items are carefully checked. becoz some probs may arise when we kinda use some 3rd party system midway then updating via SEUS in the end...

well its all me... just assuming.
